You know what your going to do before you do it. I planned ahead like i said on my post and it was still difficult to get it pulled off.

I did it with no planning, just a small idea in my head. Timeline:
Room and Textures: 10 Mins
Props, Decals and Details: 10 Mins
Lights, Compile and fix-up: 10 Mins

Fun, Fun, Fun.

Yeah the trick is, to get some kind of thing in your mind, before you open hammer and start your timer, get it going picture what you want than make it, detail in layers and you should have around 10 minutes to get lighting right, and any last minute details.

That slightly curved ceiling makes an ordinary hallway look much more special

At its core it's really simple and repetitive brushwork with some good looking textures and some simple lights and dustmotes. Not trying to say its bad, because it looks great, but I don't doubt that he was able to do it in 30 minutes.
