Another solution is to decompile the first level of Dead Center, it has that chopper scene. Swamp fever does a who overlook of the level as well
Or you could animate a camera movement model, parent the point_viewcontrol to the model and SetParentAttachmentMaintainOffset it to the bone you used, which is the way Valve do it.
Quite the party in here
i started this map right when the contest started for the cinematic purpose (we'd use it for gameplay later though), however i'm probably going to use assets i already had built and really, there's no reason to keep it for the contest. count me out. i'd still like to be judge if possible, but if that's not possible, np.
Mentr you need to add those tree models into lights.rad with forcetextureshadows <model path> and be sure you are compiling with -textureshadows :v:

About those destroyed buildings, how did the entire floor turn 90 degrees and bury itself inside the rest of the building? :v:

Plain black cable could use replacing.
wow thats looking really cool. does that texture shine like that by default or did you do something with it?
It's the antlion cave texture from ep2
It's the antlion cave texture from ep2
yes but im wondering if he made his own specular for it or something
It's reflective like that by default.
Tone down the lighting a bit I can't even see the light sources.
thats probably because the shots are taken facing the light sources head-on. in the first shot you can see the spotlight good, but if you were standing right infront of it i bet it would look similar to the light in the second shot.

It looks different when you look at it the right way.
i agree, but with what?
Maybe a rusty twisted cable texture?
I'm running a bit of late night mapping: Live. Tune in for crazy viewing. http://www.livestream.com/phoenixmapping?t=31297 Having issues with hammer hogging resources atm. I'll restart doing live stuff once i've sorted it.
Happy Birthday you cunt (and enjoy your present)
Web of Trust and I are partnering up. Also, whats up with the icon in the lower left corner for people viewing the thread? Its distracting.
Me and tango came up with another idea, count me back in
