First thing i would like to point out is the Elevator, it's hovering, nothing is attached to it.
The Displacements where good but there was some leaking's here and there from where the displacements meet up.
Camera movement was nice and smooth.
Npc movement/general, well at the end hes just standing, he should have so facial expressions and/or something else.
Sound was good.
General idea, Pretty good actually, Could use some more detail though.

The Combine/regular wall looks very weird and flat
The npc (the girl) Sometimes she just stands in front of the props, not sure if supposed or a broken scene.
The Stalkers, i didn't like their moaning or what ever you call it, next time make them a "Generic_actor" To make them completely silent.
I like the Camera fade in/out effect showing time passes by by having props fade out and fade in and the npc's and such.

The camera movement was stiff sometimes when he turns but that's because of the AI.
The mapping was decent, nice custom stuff, Some flaws with some dev textures and no outside area.

My games Crashed every time i tried to launch the map, Tried with hl2, ep1 and ep2.
But i watched to video clip and i can briefly say some of the parts.
The mapping is good.
I enjoyed watching it and it was funny.
Npc's could have had more expressions.
Sound was decent.
"Legs" was just floating under the rail, The train was sometimes skipping outside of the rail.
Camera movement was smooth.

I would just like to point out some stuff. As i was working on my entry i ended up removing 75% of planned content. Stuff like dev textures are here becouse i could not find any good models around. The much needed custom skybox got cut in the last 10 minutes of devtime cuz of many bugs and no time to isolate and fix them. I do intend to finish this particular map as well as do more cinematic content of this sort in the future. Oh and i will also make a tutorial on how to make the camera-to-npc thing.

Thanks for the rating, but the constant crashes has somethign to do wit the shear amount of content we added, I'm almost sure. Some people said they fixed it by lowering their graphics or resolution.

Thanks for that, i couldn't work out how to shut them up. I also had a tremendous amount of issues with some of the animations, so much so that in the end i just tried to get her in a few thoughtful poses around the machine. I do think a few were actually still broken though. I know the animation in room 5 was definatly not working, yet it would work elsewhere, so i have no idea.
I guess that's what happens when you spend 8 hours on a map, I had 2 days from when I got the idea, oh well.

To be fair, i didn't spend a massive amount of time on the map. Most of my time was spent rigging up all the names.

Most of my time was spent experimenting on workarounds. For example, the camera in the legs scene is actually just parented to a func_tracktrain. Mainly because path_corners like to just send the camera way off the tracks just to try and keep it smooth.
And even then, as you noticed. It didn't stay on fully. (Legs's rail thing) It's not exactly my fault, just sources buggy implementations

I built so much and experimented with stuff i never used. I decided to keep it really simple. Although, making 21 exact clones is anything but simple. I had to number room 1 and room 11 on the wall to stop me getting too confused. Even then it was tough going.

I loved your map I really hope you win man. Also regarding the next contest there should be something more refreshing in the contest. Since it seem's less than a quarter of the people that join actually end up finishing.

At first, I had no sound on, so I was worried you had no sounds. I really liked your idea. Waking up and moving on with
your day. I'd like to see him cook something or watch TV though, but it's not really my map to say anything. The dev
textures were easily caught by my eyes, but I didn't let that get to me. The turns were a bit weird, but like you said
about the AI. I liked this map overall, just wish it was a bit longer, had more things happen, and the outdoor had grass
or some sort of land.

channel. It was funny and creative. I found myself smiling at times. That's really hard to do with a YouTube video

It's surprisingly easy to lose motivation or get bored a short time after entering a contest. It was that way for me during the Underground one, anyway.
Me and Tango BARELY finished what we wanted. We were originally planning to make the whole movie.
