What I like about the current design of City 8 is that you glance it at and think "OMGZ SHINY PERFECT FUTURENESS" then you look closer and see the dirt and grime and graffiti.
Looks great Dave, liking the atmosphere of Salvation 2.

Today I've been adding in a custom Combine Dispatch system, i tried it on my first City8 map with my own voice but it ultimately sounded -lol-. Got some nice synthetic text-to-speach dialogue, which are activated remotely from a rotating hologram console. Depending on the message you want to send, you choose the correct hologram. Selections for - Judgement Waiver (Community lockdown, curfew) ((this has a huge new ground shaking siren, awesome) Ration Distribution (go get your ration packet from the terminal) Civil Workers Union advertisement (become a privaliged citizen by joining this union) Welcome to City 8 broadcast (for newly arrived citizens/general ambiance) Residential block inspection notice (tell citizens to assume inspection positions) Room allocation reminder (tell citizens to get an apartment) (the geometry around it is pretty bland so far but the hologram function is read) [IMG]http://i239.photobucket.com/albums/ff186/baldrybaldry/City%208/rp_city8_district30044.jpg[/IMG] As for salvation 2, Ive started on the Installation from the first scene (the underground facility where Connor and his team find evidence of the T800 being developed, complete with ropes to absail in). Ive been adding other outposts and road links, and a friend from TRP (Flyboi) made the gas station for me, which you can see in on of the pics. City 8 reminds me of Judge Dread.
City8 is Fantastic, but, as said, you could add a few taller buildings. To amke a more Modern look
these maps look so epic!!! cant wait for them to be on terminator rp :>

Dispatch looks a lot better than the first one you did, and from what you told me on SF, it sounds better too. :P
God dam displacements. Need to stop the leaks yo. It looks like a fried egg instead of a mound of earth.
Are these maps going to require Episode 2?
I believe some parts of City 8 does, although im going to be running tests before final release and pakratting any episodic data alongside my custom stuff. So errors and missing textures should be minimal.

I salute you, but you should make only two of those dishes still standing... They look too well preserved as opposed to everything around them. One dish could be on the ground flipper over, possibly a hold blown in it so people could hide under it, and the other could just be gone, like the base is there, but the top is gone. There would obviously need to be more debris as the hold in the ground was punched into it by bombs... it didn't just sit open. Also retexture the support beams at the base of those dishes, as the combine texture looks horrid. That and I'm liking the shanty town alot.
Please node both with decent noding unlike salvation one :P
