Not too well optimized for me. It lags a bit when I look towards the center of the map.
I also found the easter egg, but ignored the keypad part and broke the teleporter. :q: What do we do with the shapes? :confused: Or is there even something to do?

very nice, my only complaint would be to make the map a bit more optimized. it lags a good bit when you look in the center

Well the map is nice, you half assed a bunch of key elements, there are countless missaligned textures, the 3-d skybox can use improving... ALOT., the "cinema" sceane only deploys 3 soldiers to the house and that's it.You get a flyship stuck in mid air. the concept and gernal work is nice, if you had taken about another week to touch up and finalize everything else I would have kinged.
And yeah it needs to be optimized.

When I play the scene I get about 20 soldiers. That's what it's scripted for. I'm not trying to fight back but it its very hard to fix everything in a map so big, there are bound to be a few miss aligned textures but thanks for your critism anyway.

That's probably because his Texture Quality settings are on low.

Just a question: Are you planning to bsp-pack the materials? It's really painfull to make them upload if I want to host a dedicated server.
And I read about your plans with EP2ADP: I hope you'll get this done. This map is so incredible good!
The only thing that I dislike is the cliff and mountain textures. They're repeating and it looks awful. I think this was mentioned in your WIP Thread, but as far as I can see you didn't take your time and fix it.
Other than that, great work! You deserve a mapping king.
Does anyone know that if you spawn a pot and stick it in to the lock where the door is with 5 citizens it opens? Good map anyway. KING'D

I might release a 1.1 in like a month fixture most errors and textures. But that will depend how popular this release is so keep on downloading and commenting.

Nope, they're on Medium/High. This map is the only one that does this.

That is really weird. I just checked the textures on my computer and made sure they wern't anywhere els. So there is something going wrong on your end? did you extract to the addons folder?
Wow,great map,Garry's mod needs experienced map creators like you,this is a surely a 10/10.Train more for maps,maybe you will make a good map that can't get off the popular list.Train hard and good luck in your future map making.
It is awesome, but one question: How good computer do I need to run it? If I look anywhere from the spawn point, the map eats my FPS. Badly. And I've got pretty low graphics settings. :(

Is it just the water that's the problem? Because the water is custom. Most valve waters on low graphics convert to a low grade water texture. I did not include this in the textures.

I am getting the same problem too. I own HL2, Ep1, Orange Box and CS:S. I have got all texture settings set up on high (or very high, i forgot) and i still get the problem. And yes, it is just the water.

No i mean i didn't add the cheap water which is what it converts to when there is to much CPU being used. Hold on i'll have a look and see what the problem is.

I really don't think it will fix it. It was just a wild hope that the file in the fix was the problem. I have been talking to people that have played it and i have also watched some videos of the water working. So i still think there is something wrong on your end. Sorry i couldn't be more help.
Yeah, it didn't work. Don't know what is wrong. I will try and play around with a few textures and see what i can come up with.
Hopefully it will work with your proposed EP2 addaption.

Incredibly atmosphereic. Well done. The only complaint is that my SENT's seem to freeze solid when not near paths, but you're not going to see many soldiers and stuff in the middle of a field when there's a perfectly good path nearby.
