Also:
I found a leak: http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images//FacePunch/GarrysMod/gm_xhs_construct_errors/leak.png
And a missing texture: http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images//FacePunch/GarrysMod/gm_xhs_construct_errors/missing_texture.png
And the map is too bright - It looks much too artificial: http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images//FacePunch/GarrysMod/gm_xhs_construct_errors/too_bright.png (Note: I do not have bloom or HDR enabled - I don't even want to know, how bright the map looks like with it enabled)
How come the filenames say those pictures are PNG, but they're actually BMP?
How come the filenames say those pictures are PNG, but they're actually BMP?
Because their are bmp, named with png extension - That easy. (ms-paint is a massive failure - and anyway: who cares?).
I downladed the map but the ground and buildings are checkered pink and black. What to do?
The 'iffy' mountains mean that the map's author took full advantage of the EP2 "long distance" skybox crap. He really does know what he's doing!
great looks
More comments people. Even if you just say i like the map lol

Do not only "install the map" by copying the bsp to /maps. Also install all materials. That's why I urged Xhizors to bsp-pack the materials - I tried it on my own, but for some obvious reason, using packrat failed including the files.
LOL it has 3200 downloads in 2 days and only 40 comments! Wtf.
So I'll comment on more:
When is the next revision coming out? I'm waiting for bsp-packed materials and fixed leaks and missing textures. (Also, your compile log says much stuff about leaks in area portals - but I'm not a mapper. Can't tell if it's serious or not)
I have an odd problem. The map works fine except for one thing. I see no grass on the ground. All I see is a vast plot of sand.
Other than that I do enjoy this map. I feel it could use some sort of highway though.
I like the architecture a lot. But, it could use a little more detail. Maybe that's just me, but overall I like it. You got my download.
Reminds me of Venice ;)
Great job

Yeah, I have the same problem. I have Portal, HL2, EP1 + 2, and all that stuff. Plus, you said that all the materials and included in the file, so I don't think it's that kind of problem. Any help would be much appreciated, it's an awesome map but the sand is kind of annoying. Thanks!
I really like it. Best construct for water stuff, I think.
Looks pretty good.
Does it have AI nodes?
I hate those Construct maps that people make.
though this one is kinda nice, awesome even.
Downloading.
Exactly, like a gm_construct with pink and black textures, and one with a ramp... but this one is not just a small , tiny edit of it... its the biggest one ive seen in a while.
This map =
i like the design but we could have underwater tunnels
looks good, lots of space as well as plenty of rooms to build in, I did notice it seems you made the ceiling too low in the water docks. I cant walk down the ramps without crouching. besides for that and the previous mentioned bugs I cant see anything else wrong with it..
Dude, you aren't very good at optimizing displacements, are you? At least, that's what I'm assuming. Whenever I'm looking in the direction of the water, my drops down to 20-25fps. If I look anywhere else on the map, my framerate jumps back up to like, 60-90fps+.
hey can you please make the map into a new format... i am kida new to garrys mod and i am having a hard time installing the map thanks. but if you cant can any one help me :)
oh yea by the way this looks like one of the best maps i have ever seen in a looooong time.. more like a month.
?
Great map. Gmod.org is a failure though: 7000 downloads, uploaded 3 days ago, with 349 per week
(wtf?)

ok. so how do i do that?
Take all the files in materials, and put them in the materials folder. and the same with settings
Edit: in this hallway :http://39051.vs.webtropia.com/images//FacePunch/GarrysMod/gm_xhs_construct_errors/missing_texture.png please turn the lighting down a tad. I almost went blind when i walked in there.
Looks really good! Although I don't plan on downloading it because I don't see many people with it online and I generally don't play Single Player a lot so this is a no go for me.
Good map though! :D

Ok. This map is Easyer to install than most maps I don't see why people are having problems. All you have to do is copy the 'addons' folder which is the first folder you see when opening the zip to steam/steamapps/username/garrysmod/garrysmod. Once finished copying double click on 'addons' in steam/steamapps/username/garrysmod/garrysmod/ and there should now be a folder called gm_xhs_construct and if there is then you have installed the map.
Can you read my mind?
I just wanted a new GOOD construct map, which had custom textures, Al Nodes and featured HDR :D This map looks EPIC!
You got my download ^^
