awesome map, although, lags in places.
Before you ask, i have a good graphics card that runs garrysmod always over 30fps or more unless extreme spam.
It kinda laggs, bit this map in combo with dismembermentmod is awesome! i'd like to see some torture machines :D

I will try to optimize the map even more for v4. I've learned some new stuff to so that i can fix the leak in the stairway f death. And offcourse there will be new machines.
For now, I knw that there will be:
The sawmill you asked for.
Maybe some space for for the mangler car to have fun on.
And maybe another fun killing vehicle.
Anything else?

Um, pretty much every button. Only the Catapult, hammer, anything with a lever and anything else not needing a button. Just to make sure I'm pessing the button right, do I just shoot it?

You activate the buttons by pressing E while pointing at them.

this looks like something you could easily make with gmod alone. spawn some logs, winches, axis's that kind of stuff.
but still i would very much like to see the next version of ragdoll slaughter and see all the new designs. i would also like to see that machine that another person requested, you know with the clock wise and counter clock wise blades in a pit. looks very nice!
These contraptions, except for Marine123's, are going to be LAGGY LIKE HELL... And especially the clockwise-counterclockwise-cutting-thingy is actually not worth it. It's either going to be bloody in the top, then nothing more, or the ragdoll will just bump on each blade, and either stay there, or continue downwards without any action. Continous damage to the ragdoll isn't looking good in source, the engine doesn't have implemented dismemberment (yet). If someone could make a ragdoll with every part as a "bodygroup", it would be worth it.
yeah, version 4 will only have one or two new machines, then i will improve the ones the already excist and expand the map a bit.

I'm not saying "no new machines", I'm just saying that these machines will possibly not be like their suggesters thought. And maybe we also should start a new thread to get someone to make a bodygroups dismemberment mod. I'm sure someone will do it.
What about a implode machine, a closed room wehere npcs would implode wen we press the buttom

ragdoll_slaughter_v4 will be released at fall. Can't tell you exactly yet cause i need t get my other map Rp_castlehill done first...
and if you mean the format of the map then it's HL2.
You should try the grinder from Yuri's Revenge. Ive tried making one but I suck at making func_trains so I never got to make it work right.
hey, i've already been inspired by that grinder. It's actually called the grinder and i think there's and image of on the first page of the thread :) Red alert is a great game by the way ^^
Quake 2 map FACT2 has some ideas you could use.
