The sun problem is with the skybox texture. Some have a built-in sun. Just tinker with the angles of the lighting and sun entities until you get the right angles.
Nice map :) I don't suppose you could add some sort of ramp for amphibians in the next version could you?
ohh, I always love this kind of map... it is so simple you can do just about anything with it, yet it has enough structure and concept for the thing to actually be fun to play in! As soon as I saw it, I began thinking how the squares could actually be a roleplaying format as well... clearly I imagine the spawn point turned into an authority-driven building, with various player-made booths and such strewn throughout the square complex. Reminds me of the canals of Venice and such... but that's a bit romantic. Anyway, great map... my computer is too evil to play gmod without lag, but if it wasn't you'd have my download!
This is fucking beautiful. Although the front pic with the dude is stupid. Other then that everything checks out AWESOME. Although that style lags my gmod.

Few side-notes;
Contains the CS_Millitia skybox materials, seen as most people have Counter Strike: Source nowadays.
The two suns may not be a map bug, but something to do with me, I dunno.
Took me roughly a day and a half to get to this point, from a single block of grass with concrete, I moved on to duplicating them, creating the spawn point on the original. I later added water around the other islands. Made a bridge, then added lighting. Once I'd finished polishing off the lighting, I made the 3d skybox, and added the circular tower at the spawn. Finally, I made the shack, which houses the entrance to the sewer (secret area). All in all, this is a first release. Enjoy.
Give me C&C on what I can improve on / change in the next version, that is if you don't think this version is okay as it is.

My 2 cents
1: A Spawn-point inside of a block
2: Though HDR would look nice but it eye rapes me
3:2 suns WTF
4: Water would be higher so if i fall in i can get back up (docks are inconvenient )
5: Could use better skybox (Militia)
6:No elevator on underground part really annoying if rping on said map

You really need to add tracks, and bridges with tracks.. THEN it would be the bomb.
V2 will have some major redone area and stuff, I may add tracks too, and raise the water limit, if not just add ladders.

For the water, you should add a button or a console command that allows an admin to raise the water level. I like the water the way it is because small boats can sail under the bridges, but if an admin wants the water higher there should be an option to do so. Best part, is all you need is a Func_Tracktrain and a button to do it :)

Note the fact that i said that ADMINS can use. So a console command that can be triggered by Rcon, OR a button, granted a button can't be admin locked but a console command will only work through Rcon.
