I open Hammer from the L4D Authoring Tools and suddenly everything's different; opening a map opens a single view rather than four, selections are outlined with a black border - as is the world origin -, everything entity is black including the 3D freeroam crosshair and the only modes that work is shaded textured and lightmap grid, except raytraced which no longer crashes hammer but opens a weird window.
Help?!
Ctrl Z
or pics?
Do you really need a picture to understand what one viewport instead of four looks like?
Press ctrl a.
You could also have said "use autosize 4 views" which would have saved everyone a lot of confusion, and yes, that was the first thing I tried.
For someone who wants help, you aren't providing much information.
Have you tried restarting hammer, steam or your pc?
I have tried restarting Hammer, but I don't see how those other two would help.

Restarting the computer was the only way i could get out of certain modes in hammer. Just try both those things and see.

You didn't help, you said "Ctrl+Z pix plz"
I'll try and see if rebooting works out. Thanks.
Being a douchebag when people are trying to help should be a bannable offence.
just stop trying to help him.. he is obviously not interested in giving a fuck.
Reebooting did not work out. I guess I'll try deleting some folders or something.

Huh, what do you know, I accidentally checked "use independent window configurations".
Oh wow, I'm such a doofus.
Sorry I was being an arsehole. I was annoyed at hammer and I shouldn't have taken it out on you.
Fixed.

I dont know, post a screenshot of your Hammer Editor Client and Ill be happy to help you troubleshoot this problem
I'm pretty sure the shortcut you're looking for with the windows is shift + Z.
