Add a ghost easter egg. You know, like, if you go in a secret place you get attacked by a ragdoll. Would be funny for some newbies.
Love the maps but I have one big request, optimization would be spectacular, I would have loved to use gm_ship2 and gm_ship on an RP but my fps is so low.
I say Stormy night, it would look kick ass with the bellow deck if you have windows.
Portholes :eng101: Excellent work mate, i'm rather jealous that your a better mapper than me.
I need a azipod model for propulsion.
Will this be able to sink like the first one? How many CS:S props do you use?
FAGGLE MONKIES! Looks awesome!
I need a azipod model for propulsion.
Do you need like a 3 view of azipods? I couldn't find a 3 view for you but i found a 2d view of one from their brochure i hope it helps :). -Nvm the link isn't working I'll see if I can find you another picture or two :)
I need just 1.
Again, huh? Remember that fucking wall lamp I was retexturing all the time? Or that shower?
I just 1.
Found you a new one link, I think its also better quality :) I think you meant by Just need 1? http://www.maritime-suppliers.com/imidocs/90580P006%20Compact%20Azipod.pdf However, I think that link I placed is probably one of the best pictures of an azipod... least its all I could find :\
badass man i cant wait to see the finished product
Nice work
I came.
As in real life ships we will be able to climb down into the azipod's? Here are some ideas -Yellow Lines in the cardeck (lanes for cars) -Signage around the cardeck and engine room like -The cardeck and engine room sounds should be more real Maybe if you can find a ship you can record a engine sound on

Am i going to see every single visleaf like in the last two taking about 20 fps away from me? :( I can still play on the map nicely with a nice fps rate but i really think that absolutely no sign of lag would be great for everyone.
Please god do not let this map die again
I need rain!
This looks exceptionally well done so far. My only concern is the somewhat questionable shape of the vessel shown within the second image included in your post. I am not entirely sure whether or not it is intentional, but that steep overhang looks somewhat unusual.
plz say u havent put all CSS textures in because i dont have CSS
plz say u havent put all CSS textures in because i dont have CSS
Isn't that illegal/warez? And it would make the map > 200 mb.

It's to prevent easy boarding.

The car ramps are almost always at the front or back for easy loading and unloading.
Looking good dude :) I love the lighting you have going on it. Keep it up man :D
my only concern that the map might die like it did last time
Impressive, don't let this map die like your previous attempts. Also, quick question, will this map make my computer explode like it did with GM_Ship2 ?
It would make your computer asplode twice.
Isn't that illegal/warez? And it would make the map > 200 mb.
He means that he doesnt own css and he doesn't want too many errors!
wow, this is possibly the best map I have ever seen built on the source engine. I am very interested in seeing how this develops. I am also a mapper and love large ships. I made http://www.fpsbanana.com/maps/111067 for counterstrike source. There is a small chance my map could be useful for some things in this project. It is also a huge and very realistic car ferry but not quite as nice looking as this map I see here (my one man team can only get so far... :D ). How do you get that level of detail in a ship of 12 decks, 200m long and 30m wide? (or is it smaller?) I ask because I could not get my map more detailed because of all the source engine limits built into the compiler (no more than 8000 solids, 4000 entities etc). If I had my way I would map up to 30,000 solids... I can't model props you see. Sadly I dont have garry's mod, just CSS. Is there any chance you can bring out a CounterStrikeSource version when it is done or is that not possible for some reason? Anyway, keep up the good work!
This map looks epic! I loved number 2! Can't wait for release.
