yeah... I would use func_smokevolume, but its not working for some reason... For now I'm just sticking with this. plus I'm also crouching down in a corner looking at the entire dance floor... so you're getting the worst possible scenario... But I do agree it needs to be thinner and less dense... but Hammer isn't cooperating

How are you doing the lighting?
Right now, just a single dim light and the rest is going to be done using point_spotlights. Its supposed to be dark on the dance floor, but I'm debating whether or not to have the old-styled retro floor with the light up squares. Other than that, It's going to be pretty dark. Plus players always have their handy dandy flashlights to use while they are trying to move around the area. The other areas, if I decide to add them, such as the bar... are going to be lit just like any other map would.

Oh and I haven't really been working on the map the past few days... been getting ready for college stuff and I have 8 hours of Spring Testing (woohoo >.> ) to do tomorrow.
If I remember right. There's a limit of 16 lights per map that are allowed to have toggle imputs.
Because if all those lights can be set up differently (16^2 combinations) shining on 1 brush, that's a lot of possibilities to feed into VRAD.
So if you get screwed over by a lack of light entities, sorry.
Is there any way you could make some buttons to customize the lasers, like one button to makethe lasers and lights alll stay the same color, or keep flashing into different random colours.

Actually, You can only have around 7 lights with different names on one brush essentially.

I have already done that... And its stated in the very first post.
Im submitting an "As-Is" version up to Garrysmod.org. Hopefully people will see it up there and get a taste of what is in development.
Map name has finally been decided "Gm_RaveMaker"... Not original but Oh well.
Also I still haven't had time to work on this for a while... but in the mean time I did get exempt from all my English courses for college! WOOT!
