There is one thing I don't like about these maps: Too compact. They don't take the full advantage of the size that you can create the map. Maybe if the map was bigger, and has roads that aren't just circles, I would download it. You did a good job, though.
I designed the roads to make as much use of the space as possible, whilst making sure it wasn't just a huge circle. I felt that it would be better as a circuit so the player could just start from anywhere and stop anywhere. Also, a bigger map would mean a smaller skybox. And to create a huge track like the pike's peak one in DiRT would take ages to do, although I may do a rally stage in the future.

Hope there is a gamemode for it, A server to run this on would be excellent, nice mapping.
I have downloaded this. I hope to get my friend to start his listen server tomorrow to play this to see if it lags. :) I just ran it in Single Player. Beautiful. No lag. :) There is still a few things that need fixing. 1. Near the town. If you turn the camera you see this.[img]http://hamtarotbd.com/gm-mountaindrive0000.jpg[/img] 2. Yeah, I,m gonna compile a new version today to fix those problems. A new texture in the tunnel, and adjustments to the sky box should solve that. Also, I will probably try a night version very soon. Thanks for the feedback :)
I just ran the map with my friend. Works great on my side, but my friend is complaining about lag and stuff. And how he's "hacking into the ground". I say it's his computer, but he's certain it's not.
Most fun I've ever had with my EP2 Jalopy. Don't even know why you call this a beta, it's pretty much perfect.

There's gonna be a new version out next week, which will be the night one. It will contain enterable buildings, adjustments to certain parts of the map, and overall fixes and improvements.
Put a lil fog in it just a little but you can still see the other side. Also the lighting can be better I think.

Thanks :) I'll adjust that rock so you don't hit it. I wasn't expecting people to get that much air from that jump. Also, the SDK update broke Hammer, so I'm not sure when the night version is gonna be done. I managed to compile an early version of it with a few enterable buildings, and somehow it was pretty creepy. Could be good for zombies.
Now that's stylish. Although it could use some smoothness.
This map is absolutely amazing! About the only complaint I have is that it doesn't work in the Gmod beta with the EP2 engine :(

This map is great. Gotta ask you 2 things though 1. Did you compile this on fast? I wanted to add water to it to see how it looked and it completely locked up. 2. How long did this map take you to make?
I compiled it on normal, but I tried to originally make it with water and it would'nt update it, so I got rid of the water. Overall, I must have spent almost two months on it. It's been through a few incarnations though, there was gonna be a quarry down the bottom, then water, and now a small dirt track. I have not tried it in the Gmod beta yet so that's a bit worrying.

I get this engine error: "Bad surface extents on textures nature/blendcliffgrass001a" or something of that sort when I try to run the map. Anyone know what that could be from? I'd appreciate the help on the problem.

I have just released a vehicle testing/offroad track. For those of you having problems with this one. Check out gm_ep2_track_a. Yeah. Please give this a fix.. I downloaded it a month ago and it was lost in my 200 maps so I never got to give my combine racer a go on it.. CRAP!
Looks good, I am going to check it out later today. You might want to change the texture ratio on some of your displacements as you can see repeating patterns which can destroy the illusion of realism in a map. If you look at your first picture to the left, you can see endless repeating patterns and if you look to the right along the canyon walls...the pattern repeats to often. But a really nice job, I can't wait to check it out.
Looks great for both the jalopy/cars and the hoverboard.
