I think its pretty good for my first house :D
I'm not saying you are, but being cocky makes you incredibly unpopular on forums.

Turn up the texture scale on that water, you don't want to notice the tiling. GL with the project, you might want to look into using some props and maybe checking out some reference pics.
I think this map is good. [editline]02:28AM[/editline] wow what an informative post...

Those screenshots hurt my eyes, Not the content in them but just... idk hard to look at.
My interest skyrocketed upon seeing the first building. Keep up the awesome work. These people will drill you on detail and lighting (if you get that far) but remember two things, it's one of your first maps, it's for RP, and those are two great reasons why it doesn't have to be perfect. Want detail without getting complaints from furnature? Add gutters, support beams, and pipes, some wires won't do any harm either, I'm pretty sure you can make them collide with nothing so they won't bother anyone! Edit: watch out for those ramps in front of the garage doors. Evocity had one of those at to get to the underground parking the cut sharply and cars get stuck on it.
This doesn't look at all like TF2 style.
Those screenshots hurt my eyes, Not the content in them but just... idk hard to look at.
Rated useful!
This doesn't look at all like TF2 style.
Agreed, needs more TF2 styled detailing. Look at TF2 maps with similar buildings.
Rated useful! Agreed, needs more TF2 styled detailing. Look at TF2 maps with similar buildings.
The textures are team fortress ones.. hmm.. i wil seach for other one for the stone
The textures are team fortress ones.. hmm.. i wil seach for other one for the stone
But you also need tf2 models etc. And the textures in TF2 are very carefully made to compliment each other, you should look at some TF2 maps to see how textures are used together.
I GOT A PROBLEM! Some TF2 textures are in gmod diffrent then in team fortress :( fow to fix>?
Test it in TF2 (which should be easier anyways) and pakrat the textures in afterwards.
Test it in TF2 (which should be easier anyways) and pakrat the textures in afterwards.
I test it always in Tf2 and the textures are fine ther, and wtf is pakrat?
Pakrat saves your textures and models into the map.
Pakrat saves your textures and models into the map.
where can i find that option? :D
where can i find that option? :D
Use VIDE's pakfile lump editor instead. It's pretty much superior to pakrat, as it picks up more custom content.
http://riintouge.com/ Download VIDE, use it's pakfile tool. Don't use pakrat, it's unreliable. [editline]02:47PM[/editline] Fecking Ninja's!
Use pakrat when you're finished the map though, until then just use TF2 to test the map.
Use pakrat when you're finished the map though, until then just use TF2 to test the map.
Yea but in Tf2 you cant make screenshots ...
Yes you can.
Yes you can.
F5 screenshot outputs cant be uploaded :S
How come? Is it because they're the wrong format?
F5 screenshot outputs cant be uploaded :S
Yeah they can? After you take a screenshot look in the console and you should see a file path where the screenshot has been saved. Simply take said screenshot file and upload it!
Weird :S my screenshots are realy strange type cant open them Used fraps anyway lolol Started on the best buy (very WIP) Im getting better in this shit :P
