Sorry, the skybox is from css. I thought I had it packed, I guess not.
My only request would be to remove the sand clouds in the desert area.
It's laggy and you can't see anything

Could you fix this as soon as possible? Or release a version without the CS:S skybox? Because this map looks really useful but I nor anyone I know own CS:S and if the entire sky is a purple and black mass hanging over our heads it just won't be the same...

This map looks awesome as hell I wish the skybox worked without css. Other than that looks awesome. yeah. Mobenix is the only map I have seen sucessfully pack the militia skybox I think big city did it too but I'm not certain. It may help to ask whoever made mobenix how they packed the content.

I neglected to add the HDR textures because it would have been an extra 16mb to the file size and I wasn't sure if they were neccesary, but at the same time I took out the vmt's without knowing. So the base textures are packed, but the other two parts aren't.
When I removed all my content from my gmod folders to test it I forgot that that css content would automatically be loaded.
So I know how to pack it correctly, but I'm not sure if I should rerelease the entire map with the stuff in, or if I should just have an extra download for those of you without css. I'm thinking the second option is best.

Yeah the second option would work quite nicely it also allows people who didn't have css skyboxes working before will see that alot of maps will work. Thanks for helping all of us without css its greatly appreciated!

Take the contents of the /garrysmod/ folder in the zip and put it into your own. (should be two folders in there)
so I can just extract the zipped folder into my garrysmod folder?

The red area really needs to be noded better. I was about to have a big NPC battle, and then I realized they all stayed in the same place. There wasn't any nodes in the big complex. Ironically, that's the place that really needs them.
Another suggestion: Maybe creating a city-like area where the city skybox is?

It's not an edit. It may have the textures from gm_construct but I think he started this from nothing.

I agree, all of the NPCs just stay still in that area, it's dissapointing
yeah... here I was thinking I would run through the city dodging zombies but I guess that will have to wait for version two. MAKE A VERSION TWO. everything is perfect except the nodes... and the deseert storm needs to be a random event, like something people would be all like, "oh shitz, I is in a sandstorm!"
Right now I'm more like "Oh shitz, I can't see a goddamn thing and thus want to leave..."
But other than the ridiculous smoke(that would be cool if it happened randomly and had a fairly small chance of occuring so that it was a surprise when it did)
and the nodes, this map is perfect. I love the architexture(ignore the funny word...).
Downloaded, amazing map must say though that i agree with previous posts. maybe make the sandstorm random? and definitely make a version two, again amazing map
Only problem I have now is when hosting a game. The skybox now turns into the purple/black box I originally expected, and some other textures are gone like the different intermission screens for the broadcast system and some from the desert area. In single player it works fine, and it works fine for my friends who join the game, but for me while I'm hosting I get the missing textures.
Just as a really quick mingebag kinda question, how do you get to the skybox and/or what is it because I keep getting lost when all of these maps say they have skyboxes

It's those buildings and things outside the map you can see but not get to. You're not supposed to be able to get to them without noclip if at all.
Maybe a very good replacement of gm_mobenix ?

I don't have CSS and I really want this map. It looks fucking epic. Dude, you need a city area like in the freespace maps.
So, do I need CSS? I got carried away... and where do I extract it to?
without CS:S, you need to download the file in the link you gave and put the "skybox" folder inside it into your Materials folder inside the Garrysmod/Garrysmod folder.
