UT engine = Unreal Engine. Possibly one of the most powerful around. Simply put, if you want water physics, dmm, large open spaces etc, use the unreal engine.

But UT isn't the engine Gmod runs on, and as far as I'm aware, there's no sandbox game even remotely close to rivaling Gmod on it or any other engine.
