It would make sense if it was linked when it was built long ago. If it is a thousand-year old temple though, shouldn't it be a little more... decayed? If people are using the town church, they wouldn't go to some strange temple. Maybe some patches of the roof would be missing, some of the ceiling supports are starting to crumble. Great map though! :D EDIT: I just reread your post and I LOVE that torch lever idea! It's really cliche, but it'd be perfect in a map like this.

Mmmm..... that field is great, and the crypt idea is cool. I'm liking the adiea of making the church abandoned thugh... decrepid and collapsing. Maybe only one door out front, one on the floor, tipped or stolen pews, loose stones in the walls and such. The crypt might need to look even more used than the curch, like boards across that stone gap, and torches in the floor or something, maybe some new furniture and alchohol in one corner with a bed or something like someone has been living there... be creepier. That and, I think there needs to be a couple more farm fields... like two or something... it would help change the landscape, cover up the boring old grass, provide a new landscape that's unusual, and because it's naturally fairly conformist and the same throughout, it would be natural looking, and use up lots of space whilst still gicing you space... Think about it. That and make sure to add that secret cave I talked about under the well, with a small pond under the well in the cave and a way out into the mountains.... You could even connect the crypt with it possibly.
sounds nice, i'll certainly think about! And for those who do not know, i'm back home now. Ok so what i'm up to now is: * i will finnish the crypy and tempel * i will add more scenery to the landscape, such as trees, rocks.... * i might connect the crypt with the well in the castle * and i will try to fix the glitches that has appeared from poor optimizing IF ANYONE HERE IS GOOD AT OPTIMIZING PLEASE TELL ME. (i might need help with it, and if you help me then offcourse will you be given as much credit as i will!)

I'm trying to make your map look bad (You know I love it <3) But take a look at this pic: [media]http://www.touchmusic.org.uk/touchradio/Radio25/GrassyPlain.JPG[/media] You see? Try to make your grass hills look just a little bit more like that ;) What I mean is, you need a little more detail to the hills ;) I'm not saying you have to make it look completely real and all because that's just not possible, but a little more real would be cool :) Maybe even another less tiling grass texture?
i agree with Ryu-gi and mr_fj and well...im following the post till the begining and i think u made great progress and i cant w8 till its release :D

Add some kind of bandit camp in the woods. Also, add a river and and a mill :D And for that farm, add a chicken coop and like cow/horse/sheep/etc. pens. Okay, now I'm asking too much :D [B]Edit:[/B] Okay, just realized there is a mill :P

May we have some sort of rock-textured roads? I mean, come on, if you know your history around 350 AC - 1905 had rock roads. Warning: Dates may vary. Also, torture-chamber in Isle 3!

Please replace the grass texture, I have always hated the grass from GM_Flatgrass.
it's hl2 format so that's the only grass texture that blends with rocks. In other words i can't replace it.

I really can not wait to combine this map with some MedievalRP, this my firend, is possibly the best thing since bread and butter, its' a really detailed and super awesome map, a nice touch would be a mine, in MedievalRP, i was always wanting an actual mine, going underground 'n' all that mining to me is epic , although a quarry is nice, i pefer actual mines, i was brought up in a mining comunity, wich is most probably why i like it so much. A nice pulley system to transport rocks would be good, but i think, you should pass on this, seeing though it is close to release, i don't want you to put extra work on for you, but it was the tought that counts eh? -EDIT- Ok, seeing the community hates that idea and thinks it is dumb, just ignore it.
