I'm glad you liked my suggestions! I can't see the other side of the castle so I'm not sure what should be put over there.

YES. I need a nice map to edit for this one gamemode. This map would be great with a little tweaking.

I dont think you should add to many tunnels, it will get clutered and unrealistic...

What? no tunnel picture? No well that connects to the tunnel in a little pond? Wha-?
And why no more tunnels? Tunnels are fantastic. Maybe no more tunnels in the castle, but tunnels elsewhere wouldn't be cluttered or unreal- oh wait. Yeah it would be unrealistic, but then again, so is gmod. I want fun, not your snazzy realistic, because if we're going to argue that way I can go find some large books on castles and tell you how "unrealistic" this her' castle be.

Well, i don't think it's fun with alot of empty tunnels :) I like having all my space in the open (lol that sounds ridicilous but w/e) Rather move the ground closer to the bottom of the hammer grid to allow for higher skybox :)
For the farm (If you make it) use the L4D crop props and the such. Just a suggestion :)

You should make the central part of that corridor slant and the side bits level... like, so the doorway floors don't jut out. here... I'll gimp it for you.

The well hould have a small pool of water that's shallow, but prevents you from taking damage when you jump down the well... Could even be a mafia hangout if you play rp... and make at least one tunnel branch off from the main cavern below the castle into another smaller cavern... little caves system... I'll gimp that to if you'll wait.

-green= stone walls. The green dots are crumbled bits.
-blue=water
-brown=dirt
-black=well opening on ceiling
-green-ish-blue-ish-grey-ish= sewage pile under drainpipe or lavatory... a hole you poop through... under that.
general: in the main caverns, no light, or dull lights that have no source and don't look like thier coming from anywhere. In the areas sectioned off by doors it is lit by torches. Out in the main caverns, maybe torches should be like stuck into the ground on poles that light it or something.... Make a nice ambient dripping noise in the caverns.

ok, maybe a cave, but not that large... cause caves are quite difficuilt to make...
Oh, and i've started on the town by the lake to...
If you have a suggestion for a house then tell me.
So far i will have planned for these houses:
A blacksmith and combined weapon shop...
One or two regular houses
A house related to the docks, with some storeage and stuff...
a market in the middle (food shop)
a random store (to sell whatever you want)
A tavern (bar)
A windmill
A storeage tower

Caves may be difficult, but they look great, especially with stuff in them.... and They aren't [I]that[/I] hard to make... Infact I could make it and I'm bad at anything in hammer that requires more than brushwork and some basic lights... my brushwork is decent though.

When it comes to caves you're usually using displacements.

I assumed you knew displacements come from brushwork... I was considering them the same thing. I'm perfectly good with both.... well, my caves would be convincing at least, if not beautiful, but along with some nice lighting, good dripping ambience, some crumbling stone and some torches, it would look nice any way. And I DO know how to make crumbling stone very well.
Are you going to release this map?
