Computer games advance all the time, gmod is not a modified version of pong, they use different code structures and languages. Pong is probably about 100 lines of code. BF2 was about 3 million.

Although, the cracked dirt texture on that sandy parking lot area looks a bit strange to me, a bit out of place. Might look good as a blend texture so you can blend some concrete around the edges with dirt or something, just so the transition from curb to dirt isn't so obvious.

I don't care as others have said. Thread was entertaining to read. Tried the map though. It has a ways to go. Especially the desert area. Nothing looks right. Everything is just dropped in no roads alleys etc. Looks rather odd. Also you have nodraw on terrain near the hotel, gotta look under the ground with noclip to see. One of the houses near the lake has railing out front that is floating. Also nice try locking the map. :V I like the lake area. Keep going with it I released the vmf so people could do this type of stuff.

Thank you for the feedback. We rushed the desert area, we mistakenly gave our players an ETA and it was taking way longer than expected. We forgot to correct the nodraw again. We removed it a few times but hammer crashed (many times) and at least twice Hammer corrupted the whole map. We also missed a few things in Pakrat and a few textures you used in map we couldn't find anywhere. The desert needs a lot of work and detail. Thank you for the original map. :D

Normally if you were to specify an edit, or a rehash, you wouldn't change the whole version number.It is using previous work, so you would leave the title of the previous work in there.

Evocity 4 (I think there are 6) would only add to the confusion. For all we know Stg. may already be working on v4 (7?) and we weren't given permission (nor did we seek it) to use the Evocity name. Even parodies don't share the same name.

That is because v8x v13x v15x v17x and v33x were all paid updates for voltage gaming and not meant to be final. Also there is yet another version in the works on my part but that is for a certain server, also paid update.
I have no idea why everyone is complaining that it's a copy or anything. He made a good edit to the map, maybe he shouldn't have renamed it but it's a whole lot better map.
