Rp_Downtown_V2 is a fine map. I've just seen too much of it myself and I'm not a skilled mapper yet (mainly because hammer won't run properly in either wine or vmware...)
I don't know why, But I can't stand Downtown.
I might actually enjoy DarkRP if it wasn't 24/7 Downtown.
I must admit I like Downtown. It was and still is an amazing map, and, as stated numerous times above, its virtually --if not completely-- flawless. Downtown was where I first discovered the "RP" gamemodes, and its still where I enjoy it occasionally. Yes, it has gotten old, as its used on countless RP (I think even a few aren't RP) servers. My point being, it hasn't aged like a fine wine. Nor has it aged like cheese, either. Its still good to play, but not getting any better with age. Some more originality will be needed, that certain flawless feel of Downtown as well, is going to be needed in RP maps if they ever wish to compete with Downtown.
Big, Make Highroads. Give more need for cars and all instead of just walking that small to somewhere else
