Even through all this discussion, I still feel that the mapper should include any supplemental textures needed for any map, it should not be the client's job to fix something as critical as adding the needed, yet unincluded textures.
Additionally, when continuing a series created by someone else, one should at least live up to the benchmarks made in the previous version, not doing so will again hamper the success of the map and damage the series standing.
Why are everyone giving this map so much attention? It really isn't that great from a mapper's view.

Well if it was not great then it would not get this much attention. So I think that would be a self opinion.

It's no surprise I didn't make it for hl2dm, as I said to mike in the original wip thread I may one day make a version for hl2dm, but not now. Okay so just get back to me later. Don't PM me about it though or I'll just block you.
Spacew00t CSC's comment has nothing to do with Hl2DM, it has to do with living up to a series name and how it's the mappers job to include content and fixes.

there is no admin code, you have to find 3 buttons but I can't tell you more than that.

Cool man, I'm excited. I love OMGCity which is what hl2land has been on for the past forever, so I'm hoping this makes me as happy. Is it the same size as the old Hometown?

Yes, it does. Obviously you don't understand. Hometown had more than a Gmod fan base. To keep the series going you should have made one version work in both mods. Which wouldn't have been too hard to do in the first place. I personally think it's bad mapping etiquette to not include everything in the map, or at least a .res file. I don't want a "DM_hometown" map, that would be pointless. Like I said, hl2dm has a fairly large RP community too.

Honest to God, You aren't Really getting anywhere by repeativly giving your opinion on how There should be a HL2DM. If he said No, Then just keep it at that and go make the Death Match Version. Noones stoping you...

Am I repeating myself? I think not. Read through the mapping releases and tell me how many maps you find that are not meant for Gmod. You'll find one on the front page.

Look mother fucker! Normally I agree with just about everything you say but that wasn't a fucking joke! My gmod had a seriouse problem and was actually showing all the nowdraw textures and redering the entire world at once. It was not a joke. I know this is the Gmod forums, but it is a let down to hl2: dm roleplayers. And this [I]is[/I] an RP map, after all.
Whenever i go on this map every texture is missing. Everything is in little purple and black squares. Help anyone ?
