Have you tried updating your graphics card drivers? It looks almost as if you pimped out another map. I can't remember the name of that map though. Nice looking map. You get a cookie.
My graphics card is a nVidia 7900 and is fine, but the problems still remain. 1) There is no sky. it just fils up with strange colours. 2) Some rocks have errors over them. 3) The admin room teleports me to a random island just of the coast of the volcano. i need help
The skybox needed is in Counter Strike Source. In other words you need the Counter Strike Source game. The rocks are in Counter Strike Source as well (i think) If you noclip into the admin room it will teleport you to the other side of the map. You need 2 sets of codes to get in there. Only hypnotoad and the people that helped him know what they are. EDIT: I do not know what the codes are, i just remember reading about it in the v3 thread.

But seeing as I never got it working, you will not be able to go into it. Granted, it is pretty fun to open the door for people that are trying to find the code, and watch them go, "what the fuck." As for the errors, it is either because you are using garrysmod 9, or that you do not have CS:S. [b]Edit:[/b] If the palm tree trunks are not showing up, it is because you do have CS:S.
Oh boy. I do have CS:S, but I'm experiencing major hall-of-mirrors. The sky is going crazy, and a bunch of textures (like the rafters of the buildings) are missing. I'll try restarting my computer... it's been acting a bit funky. [b]EDIT:[/b] Aha. Some update to CS:S made Gmod stop recognizing it. Opening CS:S once sorted the problem out. That missing skybox texture sure made for a trippy experience though. Very nice map, by the way. I thought v2 was excellent, and the trees have really added a lot to the experience. Bravo!

Smart of you to block the admin room with trigger_hurts lol, also blocking the teleporter to get thing. :D Any possible way you'd release the keypad code...? lol

This map shall go down in the history of facepunch as the best outdoor map ever created in the hallowed forums of facepunch. This map has a whole lot of win. We just need a pirate RP game mode.
It would be fun to have vehicle pirate ships with turrets (seperate cannons for separate players)
Now add some DirectX 10, and then we have a crysis clone! Well done!

The room is rather pointless though because it's way too small to build anything of significance in it.
Yeah, seeing As I never got the entrance working properly, I never really bother adding anything to the admin room.
Wow, amazing, very very nice. lol has the basic design of an old map of mine. ps: the only thing I think could be improved is the steam on the volcano just make the particles around 300 and only have a few of them.
Hi, I read that your compile time takes over 4 hours even on fast mode? I am a fellow mapper, and I know a little trick that may help you. When making large outdoor areas, you can cut down your compile time dramatically by selecting the entire map in the 3d view, clicking on the texture application tool, and raising the lightmap scale to at least 64. The higher you raise this, the faster your map will compile and the worse shadows will look when inside indoor type areas, but your map is 98% outdoors. I made a map with a large outdoor area such as yours, and doing this has cut my compile time from around a half hour to 3 minutes. Also wanted to know if you compiled this with fast or full before you released? If you can't do a full, I will gladly compile the map for you with my Core 2 Quad Extreme. (Hammer compile tools are fully multi core enabled.)
