If you do that, then the timers will get messed up. But yes, it works.

Or, breaking the timers will give you multiple tornadoes also.
Things I noticed:
This fence breaks every time the map is loaded.
● The fence doesn't actually [I]break,[/I] the fence door prop just loads there.

These signs do not break under any circumstances unless I unfreeze them.
● The Trailer Park sign detaches and flies into the tornado when it's hit by another prop.

The tornado siren plaques are detachable.
● They also weighed 50,000 pounds when I checked them with the weight tool.

The roofing metal still has the lighting effect on them even when they're elsewhere.

None of the doors will close; notice the handle being down.

The tornadoes like to ignore vehicles EXCEPT for the Jalopy and the Jeep.
● The red vehicle is the Yugo, from Kuno's car pack.
● The three vehicle props in the background NEVER move when a tornado is near.
● The Jalopy was sliding backwards into the tornado as opposed to the Yugo, on the left, and the two vehicle props in the background.

The door flew off at the trailer park's eating/laundromat facility when the tornado was a distance away.

can only be fixed by being models. Brushes remain to keep their lighting baked onto them, even if they are func_brushes

Thanks. What im looking foward to in the map would be a more varied weather pattern with natural problems:
For example, if its raining and the power lines are cut, a puddle the power line landed on would immediately be a death zone (due to electrocution).

I think this map is just for tornados
Yes, it's not a special effects map. It's tornado chasing, with some minor detail to make it less of a "crap" map.
About the post with all the pictures - All the signs break if they're hit by props, hit the poles, not the sign. The doors all close for me, not sure why they're not for you. The cars must have different weights, the tornadoes were set perfectly for vanilla Gmod, not for special mods. The warning alarm buttons signs move off because you can't texture a model. They're func's tied to the button model as a texture. The fence door falling off was built that way to avoid stacking [u]MORE[/u] entities.. So it's made to look like it fell off.

Holy shit! A working tornado chasing map? I've been out of gmod for far too long. Here Rory, you and vman should have a mapping king. Y'all certainly raised the bar in the mapping community.

notice that the voice bit is still WIP, it needs some editing.
the radio is built into the jalopy, which is a nice feature. all of this was filmed in EP2.
also rory, the way end has some examples of how the point_push works, it sucks things into the center and orbits them (you can make it less strong, and have less radius)
The walls are really sensitive i barely push a prop and the wall just breaks

Did you not notice the overhead power poles missing the wire?
Is it me or does the server like to get unplayably laggy randomly? I was just playing with 2 other people a minute ago and all of a sudden we start jumping around all over the place.
EDIT: I know its not the tornadoes, because it happens even if there hasnt been a tornado for 5-10 minutes
I haven't tried the online one yet, but did you remove the buggies? Those normally cause lots of problems.
Imo, I think it'd be pretty neat in the next map to have a train entity going around it for the tornado to pick up and toss around.
hey rory, someone changed the map and now its on the SP version, this will make it hard for people to join, you should fix that.

The second screen shot is the power line down on the ground - The first screen shot is a misaligned displacement. Thank you for that.
The EAS system Lil Robot demostrated will be put into the future maps, with a bit of tweaking (that solid constant tone is ... ouch. Should use the actual EAS I sent to you).
The train entity will be extremely difficult but I'm willing to try anything.

Great map, as a curiosity question, is it possible if you can make the map less laggy? I'm assuming if its laggy.
