I think you could use GMod Parkour (GPk), But I don't know if it works...
This map is awesome! If I may make one suggestion for the next version, it would be replace the pistol with a crowbar and make it further into the level. I personally found it more fun to just run and avoid the combines' gunfire than to shoot back. Thanks, can't wait for version 2!

If you do end up creating a gamemode for this... Can the maps still be made for sandbox aswell? It's fun being able to add your own little obstacles a long the way. The gamemode might take that away.
Most likely you wont have your toolgun or physgun. Let alone being able to spawn props.

There may be a way to make two seperate teams, one called "Runners" and one called "Defenders." The Defenders can't attack BUT they have the phys cannon and can spawn certain pre-picked obstacles. Runners go through like normal only they have to dodge the Defenders props. As with all game modes, you can never make the thing ENTIRELY cheat proof. I will try to balance the amount of props that the Defenders can spawn by how large their team is, say 10 props each for 5 people, 12 props each for 4, 16 props each for 3, so on and so forth. That would allow balance so as to not overflow the map with props because the prop limit is 50 and there's 10 people on the Defenders team. :P Of course there will be noobs who will try and prop block but because they have only the phys cannon, they can't freeze objects so it will be extremely hard to get a good prop block, but if they do, what are kick and ban for anyway? I hope that you guys can funnel more ideas for the game mode, it helps alot in the development process. This is just my brief (not so brief :P) overview of what it's going to be like. Any suggestions are appreciated! No matter how crazy you think they are! Also, thanks grif, I'm glad you mentioned that issue.

Ok Dosy, I'll implement a time limit, and btw the Phys Cannon is different, it's the orange gun not the blue. The blue is the Phys Gun. Actually, I may re-think this idea. If someone can find an addon that makes ALL props breakable, please post the link. I may be able to recode it (with the permission of the creator of course :D) into the Freerun game mode, therefore letting people use the Phys Gun and giving them the ability to freeze props wherever they want! This will allow more possibilities for different obstacles.
In addition to this I have a question, if there will be a time limit, how much would it be? Also, if there WILL be a time limit, will it be until only one Runner makes it to the finish, or all of them? (I'll stop signing my posts if people think it's annoying, I just thought it was more professional

If there was a time limit, it will probably be for the Runner only. I suppose the amount of time (to get from start to finished) would depend on how big the map is, which I don't know yet.
I'm not necessarily looking for a tool that makes the props breakable, but an addon that makes ALL props breakable on gmod. Also I'm thinking about making a 1 minute build time for the Defenders.

Hey I had an idea....
Why not instead of recreating a map with just the Bayside Section... Work off of the one thats more inner city... Don't know if you were gonna do that or not. Sooner or later you could fill the entire city. If you keep to the DEV textures there wont be any lag to worry about :D
For the gamemode you would of course have barriers... BUT you could create a start of the map voting system which decides which Sector of the entire map people should play on first.
Of course the voting system would be a lot more handy when the city is filled.
Another suggestion that I have would be creating a lot more of the custom objects. I like what you did with the paint, and the ladders. Those were something that made the map unique. Definently blended right in. I also like how you included destroyed sections of the map that are in the course. I think there should be a bit more of that, but being used aswell.
P.S. Im always happy to join in on the build project :D I could be your... Idea man :D
