Working on a teleporter, but the goddamn ambient_generic won't stop playing after anything i tried to do to it.

Sure, just be sure the initial entrance door is not higher then 124 Source Units, including the frame and everything.
OK, thanks. I was gonna work around the door so it looks like the doors were installed after the lab had been made, but it's turning out to be a bitch. This would be a lot easier.

EDIT : Didn't work out that well.
I predict that this project is either gonna fail or turn out incredibly awesome! Keep up the good work!

If you made some awesome machine, but it's compact and all, then deliver me that, and I'll put it in either a separate room, or one that still has space to spare.

Yet, I'll traverse underground to create more space. Since the template lab may not be suited for underground, in the end, I might take people's entries and remove the template lab, stuff their contraptions in a modified one, and use that.
Can I have dibbs on one of the four spaces?

I am finally done with the portable teleportation device. I am going to create a machine in the lab room that "manufactures" the device. Probably going to try to include custom teleportation particles, just have to learn how to use the particle editor. Any good tuts? [MEDIA]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIkpkOVSYdc[/MEDIA] The device has got a system that prevents false activation. When stepped on, it will freeze you and teleport you to the destination platform. Also, video quality might be a bit shitty, sorry about that.
Ah shit dude, I'm already putting something like that in my room. I hate ninjas. :smile: W/e, good job, just given u a heads up. And besides, one end is going to be a fixed teleporter and it only works one way so it wont be exactly the same. I'll also make sure its visually far different from yours.

My teleporters might be a bit unreliable though, since they can easily be minged etc...

Well my teleporters done. Or, to be more precise, functional. It's still dev textured with no effects or sounds. But it works. And yeah it's not too similar to yours, and when I make the portable end look good, it wont look similar either; I've already got a picture in my head.
Can I have an outside area? Pretty please? If so, thank you.
Chili Banan. I really like that teleporter thing. However, you might want to keep it limited to those two objects. If you get any more, they can't be kept apart, so you wouldn't know what your exit/entry is. It's best to make it so that there is a machine which spawns a new set, but destroys the old set. Or have it only create a new set when the old set is in some chamber or something. They look awesome though. Love the sounds and the whole functionality.
Ill try and get some screens of my lab today. Being more of a scenerial mapper, its gonna rely on visuals. Also im making less "cleantech" than whats been shown. Im thinking of getting some hospital sounds, like a breathing device and a heartbeat monitor for the tube corpses.
Any idea how i can make a prop_physics not fall asleep after some time? Or at least wake it up when i want to? [editline]12:47PM[/editline] Nevermind, i decided to make the gravity modifier always on.

I've thought about it and there is probably only going to be one set of teleporters. Due to the risk of mixing them. You will probably be able to create a new set when the old set is destroyed. Alternative, I can make a teleport limit, after like 5-10 teleports the device breaks.

Sure. Should I get way too much entries, I might have to either cut a few projects, or put projects in the same room. I'll do my best to avoid this though. Right now, the brush limit is my only concern. Right now, the building uses about 20%. That's with the main hall, the stairs and railings already done.
i'm making experimental weapons, is that okay? you should make an outside courtyard.
