I have a few ideas:

a.) A room that test your contraption building. (I.E. Build something that and launch you to another side, or building that will glide you across from spot to another)

b.) Physics Lab. Using physics to complete certain task/objectives.

c.) Maybe some sort of gravity room.

something like a strength testing lab. you have things like compactors that can (kinda) measure the pressure needed to break a prop, a fire chamber, maybe a cannon. this idea would probably need a big lab though.

Keep your labs inside the template at all times. If you require more space, then wait for the underground lab template to come up, and build it there.

Yes, things can be broken. I'm building a machine that, if used improperly, will cause a random effect. This might be nasty shit leaking out the side, an explosion happening, or the thing giving a loud beep and a tremble.

Underground lab templates coming today. Be sure to have the custom materials in the OP since I will NOT be packing them along with this. The .zip will only have the .vmf.

For an earthquake simulation machine, you might want to defer to the HUGE laboratory in the bowels of the building, which will be a massive, hanger like place to test large machines/flying things. I might put up a flying saucer there myself, with lasers and shit. But there'll be enough space left.

UNDERGROUND LAB TEMPLATE.

Size is about 680x560 or something. The best thing is, is that you're allowed to expand the back wall outwards. (The wall with the table surface against it.) If you don't need to expand, then don't. If this spot is STILL too small, then make your machine in your own created room, and give it anyway. I'll build a custom room for it.
