Same, I only use Expert for the Propper config

This.
I have no use for Expert.
I use expert alot so I can tweak a command line thing if need be. Though usually I only ever change the game settings, I haven't changed a v* setting for a long while.
It has been on expert since I installed hammer basically, I just never switch back.

I can play this game too...[/QUOTE]
Zally don't be like that.
E is for Expert!
E is for Excellent! (Aka; Awesome.)
N is for Normal!
N is for Noobie! (Aka; Fullbright map and blocky design.)
I use normal until I get to the last few final compiles, that's when I switch to expert and add a few commands.

Compile windows don't necessarily mean the map's good or bad. You know, someone could listen to people's tutorials and go, "Expert must be what pros use! I'll use that!" and still come up with half-assed dev block shit maps.

What you just said completely contradicted your previous post. But it matters not. :v:
I use normal and I don't see a difference. My maps are never fullbright.
I use expert to save a bunch of time, I have a big map so instead of waiting 50 minutes of compile time I can drop it down to 26 minutes
I use normal to run a quick minute compile on fullbright just to see if I have any leaks or so in my maps

Elaborate on the first point please. How do you use expert compile tools to reduce compile time?
On normal compile maps when the HDR checkbox is ticked VRAD will run both LDR and HDR. For testing purposes I only look at HDR compiles of my map. With expert compile I can just force it to run HDR only, saving me precious time. The compile time probably won't run up to 50 minutes but it's still longer than just HDR.

Yes, because my maps are blocky and fullbright. :downs:
I use normal (with a few commands in the parameters box).
