Could you provide a list of changes, please? From the pictures, the only visible difference seems to be the change to nighttime.
The doors don't kill anymore.. He promised me that :(.
look's amazing! i used to play in the first map, but i got boring... gonna try it out when i finish erasing my 2nd hard drive :D
I gathered that the author of the prefabs and materials in question would contact me if they wished so that their name can be included in the credits.
It's exceedingly difficult to trace back authors of content you've had on your pc for quite some time. However, after such posts expressing similar opinion I have decided to take time out of my busy life to search for the authors. Expect an update soon.
Alright, credits have been given where credits where due.
Nice one. Polite'd.
Really nice map, I was almost expecting something to jump at me when I was in the facility.
could you make this bright day? i need night and day for a comic i'm workin on.
Looks good from the screenshots, but you could've been a bit more original as opposed to not using others' prefabs.

Is more work being put into it?
If so I suggest more areas to explore.
Suggestions for you to try :3::
Make more road
Currently you're using the coastal road from HL2. If you extended this and maybe make it a looping road, it would be pretty fun for sandbox usage as well.
More base-ness...or something
Add more areas of the base. Currently it is very small and at first I thought that door outside the base was an enterable one. :frown:. Add a boat port in the side of the cliff, but not a big one, maybe enough to fit a tugboat, so it's not a feature-less thing.
A solid submarine
Currently there are two submarines. One is crushed beneath a collapsed docking area, whilst the other is destroyed. My ideas to you are to fix the non-solid submarine (maybe make it part of the skybox?) and make the collapsed dock fixed or the submarine partially sunken but more to explore of the submarine. Currently it features around 6 to 8 rooms that are pretty dang small. Yes, it's a submarine, but more rooms :frown:. Add a torpedo tube area that mostly flooded with water if you decide to make the submarine broken down and sunken in it's own docking bay.
Nodes?!
Dang, son. Add some nodes. I made a nice populated base with Combine NPC's but it turned out that they just stood there. Add some nodes bro!
Ramps!
There is currently only one logical way down: With the ladder. Why place a ladder? Could you not place ramps down to a small dock with a pathway towards the base?
Just something you could take into consideration. Inspirations are also handy
What I really disliked about the map was more exploring. I wanted to have a riddled base but found it was only a few corridors and about 5 rooms at max.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll definatly take this into consideration if I decide to improve the map further.
Thanks man!
Nodes would be very nice, in fact, all maps should have nodes
Reminds me of :lost:
:iia:
Nodes would be very nice, in fact, all maps should have nodes
The map does have nodes and hints, littered around the key areas. The reason the AI's within the base stand still is because I told the engine that this place is a "safe place" so enemy AI's will stay clear of it.
Can you comment on my suggestion of a loop road :3:?

By a looped road, do you mean make it so that it turns back on itself?
By a looped road, do you mean make it so that it turns back on itself?
Maybe a road that goes around the island?
Goes into a tunnel, and comes out again to a cliff-driving moment, back into a tunnel, and back onto the outside of the island where the road currently ends into an old building.
Jizzed.
Would like a version of just clean roads (As in, no landslides and trashed cars)
It would make a pretty cool trucking map..
Maybe if he asks us, we could provide some content for him :v:?
Find or Make content I guess.
Buildings should be self-made, because uploaded building VMF's aren't so...well-done.

It's basically a copy pasted level from HL2 only with an underground bit with a sub' that doesn't even have a collision model, but is rather just a thing built out of HL2-beta view model props.
:/
I was rather displeased this this map.

If you're unhappy. Don't DL it..
Nothing more, nothing less.
I like the map.

You are referring to the original version of this map which I released on gmod.org some months ago...
:downs: Of course it's an edited version of the Coast on Half-Life 2. Anyone who plays this map and doesn't recognise the brushwork, and knows Half-Life 2 mostly is a fool.
Hmm, having a problem getting the download to work. Anyone else having the a problem?

~Black-Ice in Steam, you can PM him while he's banned I guess
I'm ba-a-ack! :v:
And yes, if we could talk over steam I would like to help you on trp_coastal-sub-facility :v:
