This map seems to be fucking epic. Can't wait to play it! Are there roads to drive around with cars?

Maybe a cart road that connects to two main villages if there will be any, but certainly no asphalt.
hm in fact that this looks like a "fantasy" map i think it doesn't need roads...

Maybe there should be a small runway, so people could take off and land with their own airplanes. :P

The next 5% is a bit hard, after that it's a peice of cake!
So could you make a displacement tutorial? Since you're busy with it anyway :)
This looks really awesome. It will need a lot of optimization but I'm sure you're on top of that! This would be very suitable for implementation with the day/night script for an extra Zelda feel.
The first thing I wanted to do when I saw this map was build a balloon and fly around. It would be cool if you added randomly changing wind to the map. We could build custom telltales, windsocks and weather vanes. I realize there are already commands that do this, although I'm not sure how well they work, since I've never used them. In any case, it would be nice if it were random and automatic. It would probably be a good idea to hide a wind toggle or something in the server so people can turn it off if it bugs them. I can imagine it might be difficult to stack things or build if they continually blow over.
Whatever you do use weather! Func_precipitation and env_embers are good for rain and snow and if you hook that up to a logic timer that fires every 5 minutes or so to activate rain that would be epic!
Just took a look at it mate, it looks very cool unfortuently I cannot advise on much because I don't know you intention so. Any ways like I said it does look very good keep the great work up!

You should make the jungle/forest have real big trees and maybe a village in them, and there could be waves (not a constantly spawning amount) of antlions attacking it, but maybe one wave would spawn every 15 minutes perhaps?. Like the Ewok one in star wars. and maybe an underground town/fort (maybe in the mountains) with Vortigaunts in it, and its being attacked by zombies. Good luck with the rest of it!!!
Whoah I've been away for a while, the thread has grown by 2 pages and the map is looking so sexy, you could put it on a porn site and charge people for it! freaking amazing. all i can really say! oh and you should add hyrule field music in main field,saria's song in forest,etc.etc that would rock! *starts humming hyrule field theme* EDIT: also,add npc's! (antlion+poison zombie forest,zombie volcano,evil vortigaunts in mountain place,desert with antlions and fast zombies,etc.) and a script that each area you enter, the name of that area appears on your screen,like "you are entering syndal forest"or "flamenova mountain"etc. (i just made those up)(how many times did i use "etc." in there?)

How big is the file size so far?
I reckon This map when it's done should be a standard map within the Garry's Mod's games to come. e.g. Garry's Mod 11 (If Garry ever gets round to making a version 11, which I guess we all would like him to) Honestly I think this will be such an awesome map that it will/should be a standard Garry's Mod map. Let's face facts, this map will be better than maps valve have made, regardless of how popular they are.(Make sure he pay's you for using it your map, that way you get a profit ;P) Hmm I'd say about 50Mb and upwards, possibly even by the end in the high 80mb's.
No GMOD11, it'll be updated, and GMOD10 doesn't exist. It's just Garry's Mod now.

I'd place a bet on there being another Gmod in the next few years, but i'm skint so I won't.
