Well... I'd say somewhere in the region of 24-32 hours
Zepplins. Gotta have em, brush based with cockpit, spawnable bomberbays/cargo bays/vehicle hoists/medi bays/passenger.
For all uses.
I can draw up ideas for other vehicles too :P

Well my computer sucks compared to many other peoples', so I'd crash no matter what. It's nice to see someone make an adventure map, which is unique among the many maps on the forums. Congrats, but have you ever compiled something that big before? Besides, it's not just the layout that might lag, it's whatever else you add to it(examples: buildings, npcs, effects, lights, etc.).
But I could be wrong, your map could be a masterpiece of greatness beyond imagination. Good luck in the process.

I know it's hard to make up any propotions on that pic, hammer has no good lighting to give any good perspective.
This one of the areas i might add a power of 4 on the terrain to make the road perfect.

that looks great, remember to add sounds (and if you get sprites, a exploding volcano)

Adding NPCs is not the highest priority right now. I also want to not that i use WinBSPzip, so when the map is finnished with the costum water shader, terrain and sky etc will all be inside the BSP, so those who download it from a server will not miss anything.[/QUOTE]
Well i was thinking if people want to RP on it. But i guess if you don't want no one rping on it.
Seeing that the terrain uses a map-specific texture, it is indeed a good idea to BSPZIP it.
Note that you can BSPZIP res files; they will override all other res files for that map (e.g. automatically tampered res files thru ULX or some other narrow-minded software). If you have non-map-specific media, put it in the res file list (Especially if you are using the CNCR texture set).

Preformance is important and NPCs take a lot from the CPU and lag on the internet? NPCs require the host to be fast, and it is a LOT of work just creating a new NPC.
I know what i am doing, i know how to make things look very good. I have 6 years of mapping experience. I will list what i will add in this map so there won't be so many unanswered questions :P
Will be added:
1 Costum textures (costum water, skybox etc)
2 Vegitation constructed by me
3 Sound effects for everything, vulcan sound, forest sound, grassland sound. Adding a lot os atmosphere to the map. ( I have really good sounds too!)
4 Atleast one town
5 Caves (specialy in the vulcano)
6 Tempels (Desert, Woods, etc)
Might add:
1 Special weapons hidden in many places (costum SWEPs for the map)
2 NPCs (require a lot of work if i am going to have costum enemies :S)

good, but yes i do have a question... you mentioned "atmosphere"
how much room will we have to create in the sky before we hit the ceiling of the skybox?
And, you should add in a "base" (nothing to big, maybe a cement spawn area)
with a few vehicles for them to use to get around (there is a mod that is out i think with flyable helicoptors and planes...

I like this idea.
As you would need to break the map into four or maybe five sections. I've seen a "portal" mod that lets you change to another server whilst in game. We could add portals throughout the map. So for example, you would have four servers with map A, B, C and D. You could then use the portals on the maps to get to other maps.
Just a suggestion.
Yah, the custom npc thing I mentioned, it can be like a total revamp and stuff for some npcs but for others you may want to have it be purely looking cool like the daemon I metioned before.
Holy crap, this project is one of the most ambitious ones and it's looking very good.
You better put some fog or I will personally kick your fucking ass.

Please don't add anything like this. Let the player make his/her own playing field. Sword and shield. Or gun and copter. if you add things like this in it will take the fun out of RPing in medevil times.

I won't any idiot stuff in it, i want it pure and nice. I will not ruin it with junk. The map will be clean of junk and stuff like that which people don't want etc.
Here is a pic of the finnished texture and almost finnished displacement building (takes a bit of time because of school)

Make it look nice and Guild-Wars-y. That's at least what the textures look like. The southern part looks pretty Maguuma Jungle-like, so I'd add lots of thick vegetation. Add some towns in between. And the north looks like Kryta. Make it tropical.
This map is going to be paradise. You, sir, win at the Internets.
