Why are the buildings all at odd angles to each other?

Since I have super OCD about building in correspondence to the grid's 90 degree angles, I salute your efforts to evade such thinking.

Wasn't there an entity specifically for world brushes that have odd angles/other attributes that would normally mess up optimization or whatever?

Such a pain on angles.

Also skins for the doors, windows, balconies, etc.

Building cubemaps does work in CS:GO, it has worked normally for me.

Decided to make a new map with a powerbox which can be shot, causing the whole house to be plunged in complete darkness. Have you tried Ctrl + A to auto-size the 4 views?
No, the solution was posted in the other thread: Go to Tools -> Options -> General and uncheck "Use independent Window configurations".
