I'm bored. Taking a little break from my NMRIH map. Give me some ideas for a map and I'll try my best to make one. :smile:
I've never seen an HMRIH map with transition points between two major areas, like CSS ZE maps where you take a subway train from A to B and navigate obstacles at both points. Ever tried a stab at the func_tanktrain?
I haven't. How does it work?
It's a brush based entity, you can set it up to start at a specified path_corner which can be pointed to another, and then another, and so forth. Anybody feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it works with both path_track and path_corner point entities. Another useful tip is that you can set up your first path_corner/track with it's name having a "_0" suffix (not necessary, just tidy) and then shift + drag to duplicate and auto-set the duplicated track as the next specified point. You may repeat this as many times as you like, but be careful with deleting or undoing them because then the naming schemes can get messy. [editline]29th November 2013[/editline] With an input fired, it will follow the paths at whatever speed specified as the max speed. It can also be set up to be player controlled, where hitting use while standing on it will allow variable incremental control of the train's speed. I believe the forward facing orientation is from left to right on your top view. The $blendmodulate used for the grass-snow blend looks reversed (as if the grass was on top of the snow and not the other way around).

I got some problem running my sourcemod mod of portal 2 and then ... I made the mistake of deleting Portal 2 folder without backing up Sdk_contents....... Just lost a few months worth of progress... :suicide: The only thing left are 4 outdated maps.. and two of them were concepts.... I am running a recovery program now. Hopefully i can get it back.

That's oddly relevant to what I want to be using propper for right now, very nice work. What sort of UV are you going to wrap it in? (By that I mean will it be new, weathered, etc.) I know I asked once in the question megathread, but I'll ask here too; Would somebody be kind enough to add me on Steam so at some point in the future they can help me set up propper whenever is convenient for them? I've used it before, it's just that repeating the steps I used to follow I can no longer get it to work, so I'm in need of a little guidance.

Change that lamp models, since it's inside a atrium, why using strteet lamps ? You may want to remove the middle of each arch that is more to the 'inside' CAn you post a bot or something to a scale reference ?
Just wanted to play around with a style of architecture by making something like a hotel, or at least a part of one.
