I'm here to show my support for your project and think that it has the potential to be better then gm_bigcity.
I'm mildly concerned the NSA thinks I'm up to no good or something because I've been looking up pictures of Nuclear powerplants and checkpoints as reference for some mapping...

Hey first time posting here. My style draws alot from the level design in games like Shadow of the Colossus, Journey and Demon's Souls.

I know about the skybox, it's temporary. I also know about how some parts appear completely black, that's a bit of a lighting glitch.
And FYI, "Shiodome" (the place on the sign) is an actual place in Tokyo. I decided to base this map as if it were there. The Japanese written on it is actual Japanese that makes sense, too.

I tihnk it'll look better if the concrete dividers where a single brush not a bunch of props lines up.

That's also supposed to be temporary until I expand the road further. You know how some IRL roads have those to block off parts that are still under construction? Although I personally agree I could've done better. :P
Anyone know why my map is being fullbright? The sun and env_lighting is all still there and I even created a light entity but it's staying fullbright

Go into console and see if mat_fullbright is at 1, if so make it 0.

dat skybox is looking goooood. The only remark i have is that it doesnt blend too well with the indoor environment, aka too much color contrast between the skybox color scheme and the indoor environment which mainly consits of black, white and blueish colors
The sunlight should probably just be slightly warmer to match the skybox better.

Yeah, I'll be adjusting things such as ambient lighting pretty soon. I was just happy with things that I thought I'd share
