Uninteresting brushwork, too many 90 degree angles, houeses are all too blocky.

Is that a hotel room? I've never seen a hotel bedroom layout like that. The wardrobe being in front of the windows and away from the beds isn't ideal. There are too many windows. There's not enough privacy for sleepers. There should be some carpet.

The mix of technology, not to mention model detail, is unappealing. If those very expensive looking servers can afford to be there, then a better desk/pc/furnishings can afford to be there as well.
Personally I'd turn the servers into brushes and make them look older/less expensive.

From an interior design point of view, that balcony looks like a waste of space. It'd look a lot more realistic if only a fraction of it was there. Also, wall hangings would be nice.

Speaking of which it would be neat to get a resource thread going with textures, models and the like (like was mentioned with the mass effect texture pack thread a while ago). It could be nice if everyone chipped in what they had to create an awesome pool of resources to share.

All I have is a [b]heavy[/b] work in progress bhop map which is only in the planning stages as of right now. I'll hone in on brushwork, texturing and lighting once I'm satisfied with length and the bhop levels.

It's titled "bhop_umbra" so I plan on playing around lots with shadows and lighting. I know it isn't very pretty but it's all I have. Pretty much everything you see is a placeholder -- including the ugly point lights spammed everywhere.

It's not much, but I sort of like the lighting. It could use a bit of softening up on the inner circle, though.

Made a new soundscape for a abandoned apartment which I put underneath the penthouse itself. Took a lot of effort though as I had to extract this from Dishonored.

Basically story goes that the original owner got sick of his life ~10 years ago and decided to jump off the balcony in a hot summer night.

this gives me the shivers... if I had to listen to that each day, I'd quickly get mad... even at 0.03 volume.... I lived in a very tall building before and it does not sound like that, even in strong winds.

Really? I hear wind like this rushing through our 2 story house in a windy day. It goes through the unused chimney pipes on the loft, underneath doors on the second floor or the vents in the windows. The climate in Holland can be quite rough sometimes, sometimes I wake up because of the wind rushing through the house in the middle of the night.
Besides, a few windows are smashed in that apartment.

There have been several attempts. Hostel had some dropbox texture collab going. I tried to start a model collab, Oskutin tried something aswell.
