started to make a hideout (based on one cartoon)

Set the displacements to 2 and not 4. Will look A LOT better.

Did a little bit of editing to my CS:GO map. Removed a warehouse and made it into a small parking lot instead. Just have to figure out what I'm doing with the rest of the orange buildings.

I'm also thinking about making it a bit sunny. The cloudy look it has now is kind of depressing and bland.

Displacement tool obviously. Good textures help a LOT when making mountains.

Its not that hard really. a good blend texture tho is what's needed but a mountain will go to a point and will have sharp edged hills (it doesn't need to be sharp) going up and low sloping hills.

I'm not a master on the subject, but that's the best way i can explain it.

Cards play a big role in landscapes. They take up much less space as well

How'd you get that anamorphic sun flare in the second shot?

Certain props are stylistically clashing. For example that archway on the right doesn't look very fitting in a moderately industrial area. Tunnel arches in de_train are an example of simple and fitting ones. Also the doorway on the left is arabic-styled, not fitting in a modern city setting, and the windows above it could use some volume.

Great to see progress on your mod, I honestly can't wait to play it. Your mapping is fantastic. Only thing that sticks out to me is the 'gate controls' sign looking a bit too clean. But that's just nitpicking.

Valve always give bags of goodies to people who visit, when I first visited back when they were in their old offices, when I had first gone in to play test Portal 1, they gave me a bag with the half life raising the bar book shirt stickers lots of stuff. Thats just what they do although from looks of it they don't give the book half life raising the bar any more which sucks.
Been a total time of like 5 times to Valve to talk to them play test and just hang out. It is a really cool environment. They are always so happy to let people come in and check it out.
