Needing to get off my mapping slump + need custom made sets for a SFM short. This is suppose to be some kind of rebel outpost on the outskirts of city 17.

It's a work-in-progress. I'd worry about shadows last, since they eat up your compile time.
Started work on the interior. Lighting is temporary.

you can dig with your gun to get to the CTs, make bases, etc; and so do them. to avoid complete destruction depending on how low you are blocks become harder to break, but not in all cases of where you at in the cave.
I'll think of adding a lantern attached to grenades, and add some underground spawns. for now, i got this.

Looks nice, but why is the center area so open? Don't see how that can allow for much office space. on the upper floors.

They usually put security/visitor stuff in that space, and it might be an office-office building and not a cubicle-office building. Office-offices have individual rooms for each office, that looks like one of them.

It is (at least will be) an office-office building, but I do agree it is a little too open. I might add cubicles on the upper floors outside of the non cubicle offices to reduce the openness. If not then a storage/copying room in the center not by a window.

I really like the look of the first image.
Except for the ceiling lights.
These are some pictures of my upcoming single player map. Try and ignore the purple things, I only added them to make my map look fabulous. Any other person who would play this map with these games downloaded: CS:S, Episode 1 and 2 would be able to see everything fine.

I mainly went for a dreary, early morning type lighting. So it may seem bland and washed out but that's what I was going for. And if you don't like the skybox, it'd be great if anybody could reference me an overcast/cloudy one.

I really, really like it, I don't even know why. I think it's just the colours appeal to my tastes.
More overcast or rainy skyboxes would be nice, definitely. Source, at least on Orangebox, doesn't have very good rain.

More or less, the final version of map, time to move on bigger environments and more detailed scenes.

It looks like you could cut your finger on those stones. Some clever texture work could make that go away. Really nice though.

Yes, textures will get some more work, but as this was more like a test map I didn't really go into max details on everything, but so far I'm impressed that the SDK could handle properly so many props in one place. But the lack of foliage in CSGO is disturbing, trying to find some tutorials now to make some custom models. (Importing them into Source)
Did some more interior work and exterior. Also started to apply textures. No idea if I want the main building to be metal or concrete.
