He originally posted it in December 2011, good chance its either moved or been deleted from his Dropbox.
Well yes, but I was only letting Chrille know, seeing as he's the one who posted the link.
So I reworked my metal wall panels texture and created a matching floor texture that can also double as a border or trim. The ceiling is temporary, I am going to create a custom texture for that as well.

Minor tip, if you mess with the U or V start and end values, you can make it tile more or less than once, which would make combining those overlays easier.

Because I Love scifi/futuristic/modern level design and have been trying to perfect it...
I mean
...Your are my god, teach me your ways (I am serious)
Dont believe me? Its the only thing I have in my reference images x_x

EDIT:
Because I cant make models and Hl2 only has rustic crap models, making scifi or modern scenes are a pain.

Protip: Learn to make models.
If you're serious about your work, learn it because modelling is never going away. Prop modelling is the easiest too because nothing is very organic and texturing will be simple. Look up tutorials on "low poly modelling." That's the best way to go when starting. Then, start learning about all of the popular modifiers and how to combine modifiers to get those "impossible to do" results. I use 3DS Max, I find it easier than Maya.

if anything, it's the other way around; brushwork is going away and modeling is the norm.
I kinda know how to model enough to make decent things, but I just cant texture them because I just cant grasp how to understand that UV map stuff
If youre not sure how UV's work Quixels DDO is a great program for that. You can see the UV map applied to the models while you work on it in Photoshop, which is a great visual

You ever make a plastic model plane/car before and they come with those decal stickers that are a pain to put on?
Think of it like that.

I completely forgot that dDo has the capability to import a custom model into it so you can texture it in real time.

Or you can just turn off texture lock in the upper toolbar and stretch it out, and it'll tile automatically.

Neotokyo has some good sci-fi textures and models. You can start from there
Still, never hurts to know how to make your own stuff

Glad to see you're still mapping! Looks good :)
You should also post some compiled pics.

I have neotokyo's models and textures, but I don't like their style to much. Whenever I get the time I will probably start modeling
Small start to a campaign I'm working on in L4D2.

Really? There's quite a few gems. It's not of the curvy white and futuristic sci-fi though, more of the dystopian sort.

How did you get it to look so morning-ish?

Isn't that one of the DLC maps from Black Ops 2?
Sexy.

There's a light_directional, a sun and a fog controller. And naturally a light_environment. I used one of the default skyboxes from L4D2.

That's what I used as reference and what I originally was shooting for, but the map will more than likely be developed into more of it's own thing.

It looks nice and I know it's custom but is it meant to be that small? Also the scaling on the walls looks weird.
It looks small but actually its pretty big. It's a 2 floor building. And yes the scaling on the wall in the 2nd picture is weird because i forgott to change it to a fitting texture :)
That's an incredibly generic name for a map. Isn't there anything more interesting in the map you could name it after?
Can't think of a map with the same name though.

I agree but at the same time look at the names of other popular CS maps:
Dust, Italy, Nuke, Overpass, Train, Assualt, etc
