Are those all custom road textures or a part of CSGO or a mix?

He made the textures for the roads in this thread so I imagine its custom. Regardless how would I go about taking textures from games like L4D2 and CS:GO? I have GCFscape but I can't find the pak files.

Pretty cool if something was to be VIP / donator only. Or even in RP if you set people to have access to certain things.

Create a torus and remove the bottom half to get that curve. Then make some walls that line up with the curve. The inward extrusion near the top of the windows might be difficult, even impossible, with hammer.

This happened with a lot of RP maps back when adding an admin room was still popular amongst the underaged userbase of the game. Anyone who knew how to get into it could fuck the entire game for everyone very easily depending on what sort of things the mapper put into it.

Have to use r_hunkalloclightmaps 0
-edit- "This error also occurs if you have multiple lights hitting a the same brush face in multiple locations of your map."
The style I think is obviously remnant of the combine aesthetic and I'm also citing influence from the somewhat metal architecture style known as brutal-ism.
Or "Windows are a structural weakness, geth do not use them"

So if someone faithfully recreated this building in Source you wouldn't be impressed? I wouldn't want to live next to it in real life but designing maps based on real architectural references will usually give better results than just creating a generic modern buildings from imagination or memory.

Brutalist architecture looks awful on it's own, but depending on the materials used I think it actually looks pretty good in and amongst foliage.

What are you talking about? Brutalism is all about turning raw concrete into beauty. It was it's own, unique charm. Whereas other styles strive to be refined ladies, brutalism wants to transmit power and strength.

Really, there's lots of inspiration in brutalism. It doesn't wants to be pretty and shiny, it wants to be strong and last centuries. Pretty cool.
