I'm not architect, but in real life (and yes, I know this is TF2) I don't think the bridge would be so necessarily large. Maybe a little thinner. Something like burn marks on the floor and walls or something, protruding from a point of explosion.

I am working on an other way to show the scene. It is purely practice.
Maybe have tools and improvised structural elements to hold up parts of the train while they salvaged parts from certain areas? (By that, I mean struts propping up part of the train-car, akin to cinder-blocks under a missing car wheel.) I just wanted to block the path of the player.[/QUOTE] Depending on the purpose of the facility in which this rail system is utilized, have you perhaps considered emergency doors that seal the tunnel entrances? Or maybe a little ways down the tunnel? I've known some rail systems that go under waterways to have watertight screw-driven doors, maybe yours are of a similar function but instead for collapses?

May I assume the area beyond the handrail with exception of the buildings is walkable space, or is that also scaled scenery?
