Looks pretty nice overall, but I think you should mix up the big building with the fire escape texture-and brushwise, it's a tad repetive.
Other than that, as previously stated, good job!

I started building something like that a few years back. Yours reminds me of the Robot City from Futuruama or the city in the hitchhikers guide to the galaxy, atleast from the right side of it with the door area.
I added some chairs to give an idea of how they'll be placed and worked on the lighting a tad. I don't know many office-type buildings have such a large seating area, but hey it works!

Is that a custom glass texture? It's very pretty.
It's a placeholder actually, I ripped it from a popular map because I couldn't find any clear glass textures for the time being :p

buy the game, it's not a valve one so they might have a different policy for their assets usage.
I made an aircraft (by marginal description) out of physboxes today. Has a tendency to shred into pieces under stresses, may spend more time resting on the sloppy terrain work than flying. Surrounding landscape and engineering of the vehicle is by no means designed to impress, more for giggles than anything else. Pro tip, mouse 1 and mouse 2 perform the same actions as the rightmost and leftmost levers when driving from the wheel (use the wheel and fiddle with WASD). Hold to hold (releasing after holding will reset to middle), tap to toggle. Additionally (and for unknown reason), I have found it is much easier to ascend and descend if one quickly turns the opposite lever of the direction they want to travel in on, and then flip the one in the direction they do want to go in. For example, I'd flip down and then up if I wanted to go up. It's not 100% necessary, but affords more control if simply telling it to go up isn't quick enough.

Shit, I think I may have lost all my custom textures and models after CS:S decided to update itself. I can't seem to use CS:S for Hammer anymore, either.
Thankfully, I still have all my compiled bsps in the game, and the content still seems to exist since it's working properly in the game. I'm just not sure where exactly they are.

they should be in steam/steamapps/common/counter-strike source
so reset your CSS configs to the new location.

I've checked that folder, and the custom content doesn't seem to be anywhere in the folder, unless you meant that they should be in that folder after I reset the configs.
And I'm not exactly sure how I would be able to reset the config since I rarely had to deal with a problem like this. Using the "Reset Game Configurations" in the SDK didn't seem to do anything.

I'm probably going to need to know how to reset the configs properly first, because all I'm currently getting in the vpks is an empty folder called "root". Do I just delete the config folder or something?

You may need to edit the gameconfig.txt file under \sourcesdk\bin\orangebox\bin to make it locate the new directory of Counter-Strike: Source. You know Valve, they update games, but they don't get to updating tools until weeks later. Hopefully, The Orange Box/Source MP version of hammer knows how to read vpks, and they did not update the SteamID number like the 2010 update.

the only bug now is that i cant compile it crashes at the end of hdr
and there is a bug with 4 powered displacements it cant compress them so physics = 750%
my custom configration fixxed that first but after the sdk update i cant compile in that one too.
what do you guys think
