I've never seen shadows that blurry when the sun is that bright and strong, so it looks rather strange

Looks neat, I love the corner stones on the wall.
Only thing I would criticise is the wood and white plaster wall in the second screenshot looks way too flat and undetailed compared to the rest of the scene.
So thanks to Chizbang i created the building he is creating, his one is amazing as my one is a bit fat. Chizbang i'll make sure to include you in the list of helpers as you posted that picture thanks

No not really, i think where i went wrong to make it fat was the bottom. I believe i stretched it out to much

The problem i have with making buildings and maps is my OCD, it's so strong that i get really annoyed when one line is slightly off. Then i end up doing it all over again

uh, it's for a trade map :v May turn it into koth as well since I'm planning on having some actual gameplay to go along with it.

I removed the water because it had problem with the rendering ( the water simply never rendered at all, and it looked like it was made of Nodraw )

It looks very pretty but the concrete tiling is far too obvious. IMO have a large texture with some kind of wet damage/silt deposition/dirty water and have the concrete detail applied over that, or vica versa. OR use decals.

The map would look a lot better if you added some fog. The skybox looks very cool btw.
Your water problem means you either have a leak or you aren't running vis.exe. Fix the leak or run vis and your water is fixed!

Water also requires a fog controller in the map (At least in L4D2's Engine Version and up)
Well, I run a test to see if there was any leaks and it didn't find any.
I am messing around, Ill post a few picture soon, when i get some interesting result.

If the skybox is big enough, I can see the police using helicopters sometimes. That's what I'm planning to do on my map, since it has a lot of rooftop exits and big buildings. No use for an airport though.
Finally got around to pick up mapping again, and made some good process to my idea:

I know it's a bit empty yet, just wanted to share and ask for a opinion.
Mostly spent time making wiring, piping for the air conditioner (even added ambience for the refrigerant and condense water pipe), and trying to tweak my lighting.
Also, anyone knows how I should make a sprite show up good on that fluorescent light?
The long one on the wall? I would just put several sprites next to each other for the length of the bulb.

Just set the radius big enough, and if you have HDR, it really isnt noticeable.
Fat Cables. Since they are in the skybox, is there a way to make them a bit thinner?

I really am quite excited for INFRA. From everything I've seen the standard is spectacular!
