The very first shot with the boat has a very sexy aesthetic. The rest of the shots look great too, but the lighting feels just a bit off to me. Can't put my finger on it.
Excellent job though, especially on the terrain work!
That really goes to show how some good lighting can make a scene so much better. Im so sick of seeing hl2 lighting and skyboxes.

Yeah, but it's a horrible program. Almost everything is off grid, the compile is very sloppy, and the texture's look poor compared to the better texture packs you can download. If you wanna do anything to the map after the initial port, you're gonna have a shit time working around it.
On an unrelated note, been working a bit more on the tfc map remake. Decided to make some changes I think would improve the visuals, want peoples opinions on it:

I tried one, and the recreation was horrible.
In bonus, I got too many brushes.

It's extremely inefficient, though. The brushwork is some serious mess, so it's actually better to recreate it manually.

Is there any way to color prop_static? There are several paintable L4D2 / CS:GO models, such as the cargo containers and cars, but there's no keyvalue for that.
Using prop_dynamic would result in ugly lighting and more expensiveness. Also, someone has posted an image of an urban map using this feature.

Find the L4D2 keyvalues for it, then use those. You may need to use the garrysmod player models color channels for the textures.

I like it, but if you're unsure about the visuals, remember that sometimes BLU is more industrial looking and RED is more natural/organic

I'll have to figure out how to make one from scratch because this is one I found in my particles folder that I just edited to test this.
I will probably make a thread for this once I figure out why all the doors are invisible in Garry's mod and how to get the waterfall working in it too.

Also that map looks sick Highvoltage. (I'd manually darken the waterfall particle texture tho)

Quite to the contrary, I think this is a wonderful opportunity to use particle lights for when he goes to make a custom particle effect for it!

Why is the DoF so hardcore(if that is DoF)
Before I go and make a thread about it, is rp_underground a good name for my map? I can't really think of anything else.

What about rp_undercity? or rp_subcity? I feel like these might be good.
Edit: I feel like I should mention that your map is super sexy, and makes me want to download it and explore every last knook and cranny. It reminds me of the one CoD:BO2 zombies map, and the sewers from Futurama (which is a good thing, because I always liked watching videos of that zombies map and Futurama had some great environments.)

There are a number of names now that i think about it, like underton/undertown or rp_cavernous/cavern/caverncity.
Is it normally hard to choose a name for your maps?
Also, I'm hoping to get more ideas on what too add when I make the thread. I plan on adding shortcuts and other paths around the map and lots of neat places to go.

I added a different advertisement texture and I also added new GTA IV textures. (the curb and the road crossing to be exact) Plus, I added a new window and revamped the interior a bit. I'm hoping to finish the exterior soon.
almost finished with the exterior of RED base, also tried to add some fog and improve the lighting. Any suggestions?
