Best part is it's not the entire building. Propper crashes when I compile the top part. and I did not add the base yet. still helping Pac0 with his thing tho.
Make a new thread for your map! It's awesome enough and you can get away with more frequent updates.

The buildings are actually models. I may release them for Gmod citys (if it's ok with Pac0 since I used his texture) and such since those maps are tended to be huge anyway. Maybe I'll make the full complex, the last one I remember that did it was a Deathmatch map. Unlike Pac0's project, they are just meant to be static buildings, and not really intended to go inside and such. I could make the lobby accessible, but I got other things I want to do. But first I need to help Pac0 and I need to compile the top some how...
Cant compile the map... vvis or vrad keep crashing. (windows want to shut down the program when it happen) Cant do anything ..... I like the result but the main problem is that the column look odd because they are missing Lighting reflection and Shadow. Since they are now all Models. (propper)

Most can be changed in due time. I can edit the vmts anytime. I just need to see what is needed. How Alien Swarm renders the textures on the model it kind of looks shiny although it has a very simple vmt. EDIT: Got the base and top to compile.. Very Well done reepblue. Its fine if you want to release your part of the map. Give me or not credit for texture, i dont really mind. im glad they pleased you. My WTC project map will be a bit more detailed than reepblue's one. He made a very well job though. I will build out the Lobby, Some staircase and Elevator. I will make around 10 Floors Accessible. I have the Official Plans of every floors so i just have to resize the actual plan to be the same as my tower and I will be able to accurately model walls and everything in. ==== UPDATE ===== Some new picture of the New render of the WTC Base. It is because I didnt decide yet where I will actually make the accessible part and making it so, will allow me to Change anytime and add or remove part. Someone could literally Get the VMF and make the complete WTC out of it. You can also see the details on the column i made. I am working on a better lighting. The floor that you can actually see right above the Arches Columns are not the actual finished one. They have a different design from the average floors. those are only Place holder so you can have a preview of the work. Almost the entire structure will be made out of propper's converted models. note: I can not convert them myself it can not find my textures :/ and got some problem with. I just need aluminium reflective Grey texture. and it would be perfect. I am working on a new Arch colum because of the texture rendering. You also can see both 2 floors over the column are very dark. this is what i meant earlier in the post that the floors i actually made are only place holder. the finished one will look like the one from the picture. Thanks for feedback and Tips. Note: I also give my personal Touch to my map. I am rounding some corner and adding some details that do not actually exist. Just an Eye Candy :P

Here they are for your City maps and such. Posting it here because it's not a map, and I don't think the modeling guys would like a thread on propper models. Since they are made out of parts, you can make them as tall as you want/can. If you can't open it, (Because I made it in the ASW tools) you need to copy the header of a readable vmf. It should be fine because I used no I/O. Again, thanks to Pac0 on the materials.

Dang, I didnt know Hammer Editor hated Vertex Manipulation. It keep making artifacts on the model i try to make. (like if a vertex was not placed right)

Could you post a screenshot?

How do I keep these displacements from casting shadows? (if it's absolutely impossible I'll just make a brushwork dome or something and make a shadowless func_brush out of it)

Too spherical, too - parallax makes it too obviously spherical in my opinion, my dome is much flatter so the clouds don't look like they curve directly around the playable area, but rather around a larger planet. Thanks for the input though! Is there a .vmt code that keeps a texture from drawing shadows? That might work with the displacement dome. EDIT: fixed it, I added translucent 1 to the texture. Created this for my friend. It's a really small map for 2-4 players. It's actually my first time that i actually released something, so thats why i needed to share it, i've been doing hammer for maybe like 4-6 years but never released anything.
