Speaking of that bean: how the hell do you map cubemaps onto that? Those reflections look great!
I was actually quite surprised at how well they came out. All faces use the same cubemap and since the texture isn't $noculled the cubemaps only capture what's outside the sculpture.

Where did you place the entity though? I keep thinking that at some angle you'd end up with the bean in its own cubemap

I've decided to start to make a Wild West town map.
Hopefully it turns out well! I haven't done a project this big, what do you guys think of the exterior of the hotel?
Also this town's time period is going to be during the near the end of the "height" of the town.

This inspired me to do a quick mockup of an old west hotel. If you are considering this style, and are making something like a hotel, then I would recommend choosing something that stands out more and is still iconic to the time period.
Plus, if a fat retarded idiot like me that still lives in his family's house can do it, so can you!

Really learn to use the dev textures, they make map timing and scaling so much easier.
Then you can really sit back and nitpick what you have made more effectively.
For example, the window spacing right before the 45 angle could probably be adjusted, as it was difficult to jusge from the perspective of that picture, so i will probably need to get more reference.
The roof gradient needs to be much higher and the sign and flat part need to sit higher as well.

No offense, but you have a lot of work to do. Why aren't you using the street light props? The Skybox and trees make me thing this is TF2?
I originally did use dev textures, but for some reason decided to texture it - I still have to make/find a sign texture for it.
I'll make a picture when I get home today outlining how I plan to do the layout of this map (aiming for the stereotypical "one-street" layout).
With my layout the hotel isn't going to be on a corner, but I plan to do the Saloon in the style that you did for your hotel (and yours turned out excellent!) on the corner, facing towards a train station.

Western maps are cool. I made 2 for Fistful of Frags, the second one is technically unfinished but it is playable and complete. Just some gameplay design tweaks would be good for it. Here's a screenshot.

I'm not sure a highway like that should just stop right in front of a shanty looking building.
The idea was to have had it built over it, as unrealistic as that may sound.
