I'd definitely use the texture you made earlier, they don't look like Christmas lights when they're perfectly leveled and spaced. If you want to get real fancy you can use the rope_fx particle from L4D2.

We need more good snow maps. If I ported North Yankton from GTA V and gave it the right atmosphere would anybody play that? It has only one interior so I guess it would only be good for posing.
The last time I tried porting from GTA V went pretty well though, I might try again.

You can extract it from my mod Keys if you want to and changing the colors in the particle editor is really easy. I still had to place lights with a high Quadratic level though.

I'm planning to make some sort of survival map, where you have to defend Burgertown with a few allied NPCs (and a turret) against waves of enemies.
To be honest, it's not really based on Burgertown or Nate's. It's kind of a mish-mash of the two structure wise, with all ladder positions from both buildings plus half of the supply drop from the roof of Nate's on the roof of Burgertown.

then i'd still need to use the particle editor, and constantly switching between games and copying assets would be hell

Also known as low-sodium lamps. The ugliest street lights in the world.

What would people think of a small pack of combine textures?

They arent too advanced, as I'm not the best at making textures. So these are just some 'simple' edits of existing textures. But they look cool nontheless and then you can avoid the small mess of doing it youself.

Woah there, I happen to think they create a beautiful ambiance; especially during winter.
They're also more efficient per lumen than wide spectrum LEDs, better for Amateur astronomy too.

Would be quite nice to have some new textures for combine stuff, i'd proably use them (ofcourse credit would be given)
Today I woke up in Silent Hill. I then looked at the streetlights and saw that they look very similar to the one in EddieLTU's screenshots.

gotta agree, sodium lamps always look perfect in winter, that's why i mostly use them in winter settings

Alright, I'll release it, but it's not top notch quality, as I havent tried making textures before :)
