Silent Hill inspired map, has day/night cycle by changing the fog, colour correction and skybox texture in a set time.

Ugh so I've been trying this for an hour but I can't make it work. To Oskutin, I tried, but it didn't work lol
I'm trying to just make the lanes go up and down but for whatever reason, it's not happening. Am I using the right brush entity? func_door_rotating?
A func_movelinear or func_button would move on one axis, a door_rotating, rotates.
You could even go mad and use a func_tracktrain/path_track

If you want them to pop in and out of the ground, you'll want to use a func_door, a func_movelinear, or a func_button.

Thanks guys, I will give this a try. I know I complain about up-down ones, but they're the only ones I can do. The rotating ones are too advanced for me, I've tried them over 30 times. Mapping for a few years and I still ain't that good lol

Could I suggest making the floor texture less noisy?
I think maintaining the noise level but reducing the contrast would suffice.

good idea, I tried to counter that by making it .125 x .125 cause the .25 texture is pretty noisy.

They look like they are from GTA 4
Took some advice about low-sodium lamps & etc from a few pages ago. Not gonna lie, this turned out waaaay better than I expected! I guess it's the colored lights. Still no collisions though, was trying to learn making them myself and keep failing hilariously. Going to finish up the tombstones, hopefully get collision models on everything somehow, then move onto the farmhouse seen in prologue.
I just wish that 2009 source supported 4-way blends, I had to make a huge compromise with the ground models because of it.

it is
few improvements, made everything a bit more spacious, more detailing, and work on the inclined lift. you might ask "but why all the exterior detail if nobody will see it?"
everyone loves maintenance areas ( if it's rp, it can either be for serious OTT "i need to fix lift" rp or general sneaky sneakness ), and the elevator shafts will be open from the bottom lift section of the base ( where the vault-like door will be )
