They look so pointy right now.[/QUOTE] yeah, technically I could do it but at the very moment I would try to launch the map I would instantly crash as the vertex buffer would be overflowed. The second solution is to use models but that would produce shitty lighting. Therefore the compromise is this.

Can anyone tell me where I can find some medieval textures? Probably like the ones in Amnesia or something. Would be really useful :)

The third shot looks pretty swell, but the flat road looks unnatural though.

You could try instead only making it appear near the center of the areas to help eliminate the clipping, and use source's fog for the main load. You could also use an almost entirely transparent gradient texture in a few places to create some fake volumetrics, or make it look a bit foggier in certain areas. Also, up the texture scale of that water a smidge.

Also tone down the yellow/orange in the sunlight.

So far the paths are highlighted like shown in the following screenshot, I might increase the lights intensity in general because like you said it's still a bit difficult to see what's going on right now.
