"John's car runs like shit." is a correct usage of an apostrophe because it's John's car. "Don't make fun of his car." is a correct usage of an apostrophe because it's symbolizing the contraction of 'Do Not'. Apostrophes are NOT used for pluralizing words, EVER. You do it all of the time and your ignorance on the subject is just appalling. As for getting motivated to map again, try watching creative movies and recreating scenes, try mapping areas you've been to in your dreams, or just jump to a random city in Google Maps and get cracking.
I made some progress on my map. recreated the mall buildings, and made a bank. That's incredible for your first map. I haven't seen that kind of architecture attempted in Source very often, which is weird because it's pretty much exclusive to a lot of modern cities. You really need to put some window frames in there, though. Maybe some sprites for the lights in the ceiling too.

You've got the atmosphere prefect but shadows on the moon are very sharp and almost pitch black.

Also, if you guys can direct me to some ME/sci-fi themed props, it'd be much appreciated. and before you tell me that the blast door at the distance is actually from Nos Astra, I already know. :v: I might try and port the actual door model/texture from the Citadel itself though. props to HighdefGE for the (amazing) texture ports.

What I recommend you could do is take one of those white high tech doors from Portal 2 and use those.
