Holy...I don't know which is more epic, the map or the fact you made a 10 minute video of it WITHOUT IT EVER BECOMING BORING. You've outdone yourself, happen! Oh, and...HI NADA I see your train in the vid ^.^ ([GMRC][SE]Kaos)

i prefer v2 but still great job maybe you could add the other section of the old one can you make a edited version of v2
I really don't think that's going to happen; he did say in another thread that v2 had problems compiling with anything else in it.
It seems like you put off an awful lot of features (skybox, AI nodes, misc map sections, private build rooms, ect.) to make the map look good. While it's good to have a map look good, it's even more important to have it play well, even though better graphics will make it more popular. Having no AI nodes, severely limits the amount of things that could be done with NPC's, for example.
Thingshappen, I have loved your Botmaps since the first one, and this one looks better, nicer geometry ect. Also, whats with the sudden change anyway?
You should have included EP2-specific textures in it, so it wouldn't be required anymore. It'll make it more popular if the requirements field is blank. :v:
Well I just played it and love the details, the lighting is pretty as fuck ect. But it is a bit crazy whe trying to find your way around, and the skybox is freaking MASSIVE! Good work, I wll still use you old Botmaps for building, but this is just awesome, heck it shouldn't even be a Botmap, not bottish enough :).

This map looks so damn good! ... DAMNIT. Of all the maps for my computer to screw over! I put all the folders into garrysmod folder and the map doesn't show up on my list! Angry / crying face. An e-cookie to whoever can help me solve this problem.
I got a problem with the map. Everything is errors and the house I spawn in is missing its texture. And when I look up the sky gets all messed up. I don't know why. I'm pretty sure it's not your file but if you know how to fix it please let me know.
Few things I would LOVE to have in the update or next version: - Teleports Because this map is fucking huge and takes a while to get across it. - Maps at each major area maybe with a YOU ARE HERE thing cause even with the map model I can't tell where I am so it doesn't help me. -Bring back a less secluded tutorial room, because I believe if it had been marked and more in the open it would have been used more. -A more epic jump across a chasm with a trigger push to help you along, (mind you I like the jumps already but this would be awesome) -Heli pad -Lowering platform dock for boatbuild in the lake (or maybe just a ramp) These are just some things I think might improve it but don't get me wrong this is still an awesome map and very nice.
This is one sexy map, here you deserve a mapping king.
Not as good as the other botmaps, but still a excellent map. Not much water for boats. I know, river and lake, but what if your boat is bigger than the river? The lake, and possibly the river, should have been deeper for subs. Also, I kinda miss the teleports to areas of the map. I've been having FPS drops from 98 to the 20's, VERY quickly, ever since I installed SBMP. When I spawn into the game, looking the direction that I spawned, it seems like every 30-40 seconds, my FPS drops drastically, then goes back up. Sometimes it takes up to 3-5 seconds before it goes back up. The weird thing. After installing SBMP through SVN, it seemed to work just fine in MP and SP. But today, I'm getting this. I just don't understand it. It only drops when looking in that direction. It seems to only be this map. But this never happened (that I can remember) when I didn't have SBMP. I got it to see this train on the official server. System; AMD Phenom 9550 2.20GHz Quad-Core Windows XP Home (SP3) 2GB RAM NVIDIA Geforce 9400GT

With the map model noclip to the near top of the skybox and try find where everything is on the real map and the model. Also @Benie and everyone else waiting for that tutorial, I've recently had to format my PC to get Service pack 1 to install, so there's not going to be anything for a bit. I'm sure either Sleepy or Dotmister will be able to help you with that though if you're on our server.

My only real issue with the map is the sloped track area. I can't run long, lag-free trains (We're talking 20+ cars and each car being only 3 props large) without using keep upright to avoid constant wrecks at corners, and these long trains absolutely cannot enter these parts. What's worse is the switches are set up in such a way that I cannot put my train in a loop on constantly level track.
Played it on my server yesterday with a friend. Worked perfectly, beautiful and huge. We had tons of fun exploring the map, building ways to get up to the top area and using a crappy train I made to get around. The train was crappy but it somehow stayed on the track. This is one of the greatest maps ever! i have but one suggestion. Since it's coming Christmas, you should do a snow version :P

OK, this map does not play friendly with the Deathfix addon. If you die and the deathfix addon is on the server, than the server crashes. Why is this?

Pretty handy for GMod, because, nowadays, almost every custom map uses Ep1/Ep2 textures, and you get TF2 and Portal too.

EDIT: Okay, kinda figured it out. Made a folder in addons name gm_botmap_v3, and selected the svn checkout on it. What do I do on the checkout though? 2ND EDIT: God damn it takes long to get an answer.
