I meant on the addons folder. I haven't used svn before and have no idea how to use this stuff as a result.
EDIT: I'm afraid I'm going to REALLY screw something up if I do this wrong. What do I put into the SVN checkout menu I get so that this works?
Just create a gm_botmap_v3 folder in Addons, get you something like Tortoise SVN, right click on the folder and click Checkout.

The checkout is what I don't understand! I don't know shit about my computer. I think I have tortoise, as it's showing up on my options for the botmap folder. Main question, what should I do in the checkout menu?

Okay, finally figured it out. Can't believe I didn't know what a URL is. I feel like a dumbass....
Now for the map... I can describe it in only one word. EPIC [ Insert smiley being devoured by jaw drop here ]. Great job with the map, and the sound effects add a nice touch of ambience.
This has to be the best map I've ever seen on Garry's Mod.

Compared to the other botmaps, it isn't like the others, but on it's own it's incredible.
I don,t know about the potential for use as a build map, but it looks like it would be awesome for gcombat tank battles.

I thought one of the things was to avoid using things besides the models provided in the basic Source. Didn't the first Botmap avoid using Counter-Strike textures and other things?

What makes you think that? He cleary states that you need EP2 in order to run the map properly.

Yeah, but that can't cause crashes, if you have everything but Ep2, you should only have problems with textures (and perhaps models, but that's very improbable).

I've tried that many times, never crashed. Ragdolling yourself or others inside the spawn could be a problem however.

I did originally try making V3 without Ep2 textures and models but it looked horrible, especially with the lack of nice trees.

I don't even know why you'd want to play this without Ep2, it pretty much relies on it, all you'd see is errors and missing textures pretty much everywhere, only a very small amount of the map is based on HL2 and Ep1.

With deathfix enabled on the server? It crashes a dedicated server and a single player server. Are you sure you have deathfix enabled? Because that's what it does, it spawns a ragdoll where the player is, and if the player is in the cabin the game crashes.
Edit: Yes, and it seems that ULX ragdolling a player also crashes the game.
I think that the spawn cabin removes entity to prevent spawn griefing. So it's going to delete your ragdoll which is essentially you and your client so it's going to crash your game.

That's not the problem though. You can delete a ragdolled player and it doesn't crash the server, it just fucks the player's information up so they have to rejoin. The problem is that in the lua scripting, it sets the ragdoll's position to the player position before spawning it, but then, immediately after it's moved to that position (before it even spawns) it's deleted, and then it tries to spawn something that doesn't exist, so the game crashes. The solution to this would be making it only delete things after they've existed for a certain amount of time (one think frame) but that would mean you'd have to re-release the map, and that could be a problem.
Why do the crosses have to stick up so much? Why can't you just put a button or a lever near the red lights or something? They always derail my trains.

Are you sure it's the buttons and not the track? The buttons don't really stick up at all.

If you mean using the RGB values then I'll be making a tutorial soon, when I re-install GMod.
if you get ragdolled in cabin and get unragdolled change you player model
and type kill in console
it works for me cauce its a new model not the old burnt up one in the cabin
Ok, I got around to installing GMod again and made a tutorial on how to use the RGB colour values on the track.

That's how epic this map is. I would download it even if I couldn't see even one texture.
