Ummm Garry's mod runs on the Ep2 engine....

Most maps are fucked up, but lots more have come out due to the switchover... Now we wait for December 2009/March 2010 for Episode 3.

My stupid friend tells me that there are 3 versions of half-life 2: Half-life 2 (according to him its the version i have since it starts on the trainstation) Half-life 2 episode 1 and half-life 2 erpisode 2 Btw i get errors and the textures are pink/black and random colored tiles, it lags when you look at the sky and it's really bright. :(

Those are not other versions. They're separate games. You need to buy them to see the textures and models. Garry's mod runs on the Ep2 engine and this map uses textures and models from Half life 2 Episode 2 and Half life 2 Episode 1. You need to buy those games to see those models. Ok?

... There are currently 6 versions if you include Blue Shift and OpFor in the Half-Life series. Those being; Half-Life 1 Half-Life 1: Blueshift and Opposing Force Half-Life 2 (continuation from HL1 not expansions) Half-Life 2: Episode 1 HL2: Episode 2 You're trying to run this map and you only have Half-Life 2... Wow. I must say...fail

It runs on the EP2 engine but you don't need EP2 to run it, just to see the textures and models.

Another one of Nadanova's ideas... The map's meant to be some sort of abandoned Russian bunker of some sort, renovated... maybe.

Makes sense actually... Also, is the map HDR? Is that why I lag every time I look at the center of the map :| xD this map is just pure awesomeness :D

Yeah, it has HDR in it, but I doubt that's what's lagging you.

If I bought ep2 for this, is there any gcfs I could delete :D?

I downloaded the file and installed it correctly, or so I believe. When I start it however, I get a whole bunch of "LUA rights errors" and nearly everything is the black and purple checkerboard or "Error". I do own EP:2 and it is installed, although I don't know if it's "mounted" since I don't really know what that means. So just wondering if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks! I have a sneaky feeling it might have something to do with my OS (Vista 64). That seems to be causing a lot of problems.

In the Garrysmod options you can Mount the game, make sure the tick box is checked under Ep2

Quick question/problem: I downloaded the map, did the normal thing you do with maps and stuff. I start up Gmod, not on the list. Help please? [img]http://d2k5.com/sa_emots/emot-sigh.gif[/img]

Did you look in the list and the list with the images? if it isn't in either make sure you have properly copied over the map into the maps folder.

OMG just got EP1 and 2 and i am downloading this right now looks AWESOME!!! I kept wanting to dload this but i couldnt because i didnt have EP1 and 2 but i just got em so horay!

Not saying this isn't a good map, but the series so far has gone like this 1- Really Awesome 2- Awesomer 3- WTF FORREST Sorry, but really now, what the hell. Good map though. Interesting new design, might lose a few botmap fans though.
